Hello, I want any opinion on Restarant Akershus Princess story book Lunch or Dinner. How is the food there? I have heard not so good things about it. My dd wants to go there to see Aerial in ballgown. The menu looks like mostly fish which no one in my family eats, we are meat and potatoes people mostly. Also what princesses are there usually? We had breakfast there in 03 which was very good. My dd favorite princesses are Aerial, Mulan and Jasmine, although she likes all of them. Thanks in advance..

We had dinner there. I booked it just so DD could see Ariel - the menu wasn't appealing. I'm a very picky eater, and was pleasantly surprised that I liked as much as I did.

For the cold appetizer, DH brought back a plate with a little bit of most of the items & we all tasted what we wanted. I didn't try things like herring, but there were cheeses, salads, meat that I liked.

DD7 had chicken, potatoes & corn, DH had venison (which we had never had before & it was good), and I tried the kjottkaker (Which is probably spelled wrong, but is a meat loaf with beets in it. I don't like beets, but planned to just trade DD for her chicken - but ended up liking my meal. We did sample each others' meals.)

Dessert was really good - strawberry rice cream, ligonberry tart, and a choc. mousse.

Though it wasn't our favorite meal, it was a good meal.

No need to eat fish. :)

For characters we had Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, and Cinderella.

I'm pretty sure Mulan is only at breakfast.

That's good to know. I have an ADR there for a solo lunch as I'd like to try it, but I keep debating as to whether or not I'm going to cancel the ADR.

Honestly sound pretty grose we are not adventurous as far as eating things like venison YUck. Thank you for telling me . DH would be pretty pissed for taking him there. I don't know what to do DD wants to see Aerial in her gown though and Jasmine is her most favorite princess of All!!! She likes Mulan too some debating breakfast, atlhough we are doing CRT if we are able to get it. One time we got and one time not.. Thanks again.

They do have chicken & pasta. :)

I'm one of the pickiest eaters ever (like I said, I planned to trade DD for her plain chicken breast), but DH convinced me to take one bite of his venison (I'm thinking it was a stew) and it was like eating a very tender roast.

It really isn't as bad as it sounds.

As for CRT, we had breakfast in 2004 & lunch 2005, and Jasmine & Mulan weren't at either of our meals. 2004 was Snow White, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Aurora, & Belle. 2005 was Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Aurora, Belle, & Wendy.

I suppose I am always bound to jump in on Akershus threads but I am an adventurous cook and love adventurous menus. The food as far as I am concerned is the BEST! We love, love, love it and think of all those Omega3s and healthy salads - yum!

Mulan, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine and Ariel (in the lobby) were there when we had dinner last month. The food selection was fine, but the quality was really bad.
