New update, Big Give stuff AND PICS!!!!

Well, we are HOME!!! We aren't in the clear yet, but for now we are home!!! Its so nice to be here, after 18 long days in the hospital (in isolation no less). Peanut started 10 days of IV antibiotics yesterday - shes been on these specific antibiotics since Saturday, but with the newest positive culture, the 10 day countdown started over. Yesterdays culture was still positive, with that makes 2 positive cultures in a row, and they took another culture yesterday. We have to go back tomorrow for the results, and if they are still positive I believe they are adding in a new antibiotic. They will draw blood one last time, and if the culture is still positive on Friday, she is being sent to the other childrens hospital, and they will remove her port. :( So we need everything crossed that the results tomorrow are negative, and the worst case will be 10 days of meds. We had some major issues with the Pharmacy last night and the home nurses, gah. Incredibly frustrating, but by 930pm, Peanut was hooked up to her meds and ready to go. The pump is really tiny and can fit in her pumpy back-back (as Peanut calls it), so both pumps can be running and she can be mobile out of the house (we use her IV pole mostly at home). YAY! Shes done home IV meds before, but not for this length, but we'll make due. Shes home, so thats all that counts. We had some stipulations to bringing her home, lots of check ins at the hospital this week, any fever she needs to go back in immediately, etc etc...but its all worth it. Our baby girl is HOME!!!

And, another Big Give was waiting for us when we got home last night. A great welcome home surprise. :yay:

Todd/Marti/Carolyn/Megan & Patrick - DIS: mydisneykids, sent the kids a great gift package of toys/activities for the plane. Everything was great, the kids loved it all and wanted to play with it all right away. We managed to buy them off with one of the toys and we were able to put the rest away. lol. Thank you so much, it was wonderful. And the kids loved the mickey gift bags. :goodvibes

And finally, some PICS of all the wonderful Big Gives i've been behind on picture wise. Some of them aren't the best quality as I didn't have my good camera in the hospital, but at least I have some to share. :thumbsup2 In case you missed, I talked about all of the Big Gives in previous posts, these are just the MIA pics. This might take a few posts to get them all up, so be patient. ;)

Big Give pics continued. :yay: I wanted to add, you'll notice Monkey missing in quite a few of the pics. He was quite sick for about a week, a mix of strep throat and tonsilitis so he was in no mood for pictures, and some days he didn't even want to open the packages. :( But we went ahead with them anyways, as we wanted to brighten Peanuts days. He is doing better now (still on antibiotics though), and just loves everything he got (hence some added pics of the kids together with some clothes on). :goodvibes

Luvin the pics! I luv the minnie mouse dress and the hat they're fab!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: So happy that Peanut is home!!!!! I so hope she improves -- I honestly think she is safer at home than in a germy hospital. So many infections orginate from just being in the hospital.

I love all the pics. I can't beleive you had the time to post all of them. You must be exhausted from all the stress and running around. I hope that all settles now that Peanut is at home.

I'm continuing to think nothing but good thoughts for all of you. The only thing that needs to be contagious in your house is Peanut's gorgeous smile :)
