Topic Tuesday ~

With Thanksgiving this month, and the whole holiday season coming up, many of us are planning ahead to keep things in a balance we're comfortable with. Which of these strategies do you really like, and which just aren't for you?

I am so “out of wack”. The accident and everything caused by it…driving what feels like an ocean liner because Enterprise rental didn’t have any SUVs like my Escape. It was either a tiny compact car or this huge SUV, so I chose an SUV, which I have to trade in tomorrow after school for another mystery vehicle because they sold the one I am driving. The hold up of all things by the police department finally ended yesterday after nearly two weeks…the report is in and the other driver received a verbal warning officially designating her at fault. Now the medical can be handled. The worst of the pain has subsided, but I still have back pain unfortunately so I have to be careful. I just want this all to be over. I want my Escape back.

Being sick with yet another cold also throws me off since it’s hard to sleep no matter how exhausted I am. I’m so grateful to be off today.

Last night was my first night back at after school. I was pretty freaked out driving to the scene of the accident. Parking the cruise ship was challenging. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with so much enthusiasm and love. Wow. Children express their love so freely. I was showered with get well cards and cheers. The director grabbed me a comfortable rolling chair and told me to take it with me everywhere including the gym. Other coworkers ran the program in the gymnasium so I only had to watch. My cup runneth over.

I managed to pull the ocean liner out of the parking space and drive home without incident. But hours later I realized I had forgotten to punch out. My supervisor will take care of it for me.

Today I focus on an online training, voting, and resting.

I ate very healthy on Sunday, and although I am not being perfect, I’m staying away from candy even though it’s all over my house. Sugar is the enemy of the immune system, so I need to put good things in my body to get better.
