Hello all,

Has anyone been to the Princess Pavillion recently, like in the last month or two?

They've been trialing a system where it's been ONLY Aurora you've been able to meet. Well, apparently, so I've just seen on Twitter ( https://twitter.com/DisneylandBerry/status/705333437201321984) - Rapunzel will be the resident princess throughout Spring!! (I will have a v excited little girl!)

I was just wondering a few things. There was confusion online as to whether it was JUST the named princess in there (ahem...in both rooms...ahem), or whether the named one was in one room and another random in the other. I got the feeling it was the former. But if anyone has experience...

Also, I believe they now have fast pass type machines for appointment tickets? Has anyone used these yet? Can you get an appointment ticket AND still get a fastpass for another ride at the same time? And then how long are you still queuing for in the Pavillion even with your appointment?

We've done looooooong waits in the Pavillion let me tell you!! If anywhere needed some sort of seating, it's there!! Just a thin bench that runs along the wall, that's all it would need!!

Thanks all!

I don't know about any of this as I kind of came off the 'DLRP radar' last year while organising our WDW trip (boy, there's a trip that has to be finite planned down to the last millisecond!). So, I'm a bit behind with all of this. My thoughts are that anything has to be an improvement to the old queuing system - so I'd welcome FP. But, in the next breath, it seems a shame that they don't offer more regular opportunities to meet other Princesses here now. I guess they have Anna & Elsa now somewhere (?), Merida and sometimes Tiana too - is that correct? It is a big improvement from when we first started going and unless you just happened to be lucky, you could only really be guaranteed to meet Princesses by paying an exorbitant fee to eat at Auberge (which we did more times than I care to recall lol!).

I just think it's a shame not to switch the Princesses more regularly when they have such a nice area built for meet and greets. I think they missed a trick with this place when they built it though - it should have been more than 2 rooms - it takes up a lot of space for what it is and the majority of it is queuing area! :headache:

I'll be interested to read your replies :).

I know that Merida and Tiana have had regular spots in the park over the past month or so, and I'm assuming they will during Spring. Rapunzel used to have a regular spot too at certain times during the year but if she's thew only Princess in the Pavillion, then she obviously won't be there at the moment. No sign of Elsa and Anna for spring.... The Pavillion is a great idea, and a great way to meet Princesses but boy is the queue inside horrible. I was VERY lucky last May when heavily pregnant that I had an Easy Access pass and we were allowed in via the back door - THAT was nice! lol

Someone on Twitter has just asked @insidedlparis (reliable source) if he fast passes for the Pavillion will be working for the appointments, and they have confirmed that will be the case.

As soon as I find out any more about any of this I'll let you all know!

Just so you know, you CAN have a reservation ticket AND a fast pass at the same time. Just found out!

So what's the difference between the FP and the reservation ticket? I' so clueless when it comes to the PP.

I think CDSMiller means you can get a ticket for the pavilion which is now distributed through a fast pass machine (I think) but also get another FP for another ride at the same time - in other words the princess one doesn't count as fast pass

I think Ive read this right but Im very out of meeting princesses now

Yes, that's how I read it too.

Thanks for the update cdsmiller. It will be interesting to see if they decide to go with this system for the future. They need to do something!

I believe the reservation system is still in test, and that it's not always operating.

Nevertheless, this is not a FP (as there is no standby queue) so it is not connected to the FP system.

Ah!! That makes sense.

I thought it somehow meant you could have a FP for the princesses as well as the reservation ticket.

This will be our first time doing the PP as was never fussed pre-DD so I want to get it right. X

Ah sorry for the confusion! Yes, a Reservation ticket only for the Princesses. Fast Pass for certain rides. Seeing as the booths were similar I was worried the systems would be connected and you could only have one or another.

cwis is right though, I believe that at some points in the year the reservation system isn't running, which I think is daft. But hey!

Did you find out if its a separate ticket machine for disabled guests?

Sorry for the delay in replying. It was a separate queue - and I THINK the CM sorted out appointments, no actual machine. So don't join the main queue - head to the left a little right in front of the Old Mill, and you should see some CMs to help and they'll direct you.

It's ok I was already there , thank you though. It was a machine I had to use and it's worth noting you need everyone's tickets now to get a slot not just your own as the machine scans them all and prints the relevant number of guests on the princess time slot ticket.
