Princess Mya's MAW Trip Report: First Day and Going Away Party Posted 3/6/09

Well we did get a few gifts before we got our camera. So today I went back and photographed what we had received in order to say thank you properly.

Mya got a really cute surprise in the form of a new outfit. This beautiful collection was made by K Green. I'm so sorry I don't have everyone's Dis Names to go with the gifts. I either didn't see them or misplaced them.

So I think we have chosen a photographer with The Littlest Hero's Project. It will be her first shoot for this organization and I don't know who is more excited us or her. She took the time to read our blog (all of it) and made some nice comments about it. That really made us feel comfortable and excited about her.

She is also the one that has a pass for Disney and want's to do some shots at the park. I let her know I wasn't sure where to do the pictures as we have the Photo Pass Group and I thought beach would be a little more fun for us. Well she wrote back and stated that:

"Here is what I can do. Since I have a free pass to Disney anyway, I would love to go and spend the day there and take pictures. I live about 25 min. from the beach, and I know a great location for pictures, so if you are interested and have time, I will do them both. Also, I wanted to let you know that I live on a small farm and wanted to invite you to bring your kids over to see the animals, and ride horses if possible. It was just a thought. You will be my first family through this organization, and I would really like to make it as special for you, as it will be for me. I will do what ever you would like to do though, the choice is yours! Just let me know, and I will schedule around you!"

First it's MAW granting her wish, then it's this board, then we find out about the Big Give (which I need to post pictures from), then the free night at Boardwalk and to top it all off the Great information about the Littlest Hero's Project and a photographer that seems amazing.

Thank you Lord for providing, you say you will, but sometimes trust is difficult for me, but thank you!

And to all on this board that have taken the time to read, pray and comment, Thank You! If not for your advice, friendship and support this trip wouldn't be as magical and I can't wait to share the results!

Oh we created a countdown chain yesterday and tear the first link today. I will take photo's later this morning when everyone wakes up. Which reminds me maybe I need to go back to sleep.

Oh and on the work front. I got word from a company I greatly desire to work for that my application is being considered for an East Coast position. I hope it also get's considered for the position here in Texas, Colorado and Southern Cal. I think all three of those choices I would enjoy a little more. Y'alls cold really freaks me out!

We couldn't make Mya wait last night, for her brother to open the package. Mya started last night already writing in hers, not sure she got the whole idea down that it was for other people to sign. Guess she is already working on that Rock Star persona.

So today we received a wonderful gift from the Turner Castle on the far East Coast. I will let the pictures tell the story...

Not so sure at first:

It is truly amazing and fit's perfectly. It's a patchwork quilt jacket and after spending a few minutes looking at the characters she wore this and the Arial outfit the rest of the evening. After bath she wanted to put back on the jacket and sleep in it. So instead it has taken the place of her sleeping bear and is curled up tightly next to her this evening.

She also included quite a few other items with the jacket and we had fun playing with the magnetic pieces, reading the comic book this evening and reading your note as a family.

Thanks all for the wonderful gifts so far, each day we come home Mya is hoping for a package.

The time grows closer every waking moment.
