Princess Mya's MAW Trip Report: First Day and Going Away Party Posted 3/6/09

I too have been pondering the idea of contacting the Littlest Hero's since it was brought up here on the boards. But, like you, I'd love ocean pictures (we never see the ocean here in the middle of Canada). If you have a day to do it, I'd go for the ocean pictures. You'll get lots of good photopass ones and you already get so many at GKTW. But going to the ocean will eat up some time...

I am so excited to hear that we are going to be there at the same time. I just read your pretrip report, and I'm so humbled by what your family has been through.

I hope Kate and Mya get a chance to meet. I'm sure they will be fast friends, Kate is just in 1st grade (but is young for 1st grade, at 6).

So I think we have chosen a photographer with The Littlest Hero's Project. It will be her first shoot for this organization and I don't know who is more excited us or her. She took the time to read our blog (all of it) and made some nice comments about it. That really made us feel comfortable and excited about her.

She is also the one that has a pass for Disney and want's to do some shots at the park. I let her know I wasn't sure where to do the pictures as we have the Photo Pass Group and I thought beach would be a little more fun for us. Well she wrote back and stated that:

"Here is what I can do. Since I have a free pass to Disney anyway, I would love to go and spend the day there and take pictures. I live about 25 min. from the beach, and I know a great location for pictures, so if you are interested and have time, I will do them both. Also, I wanted to let you know that I live on a small farm and wanted to invite you to bring your kids over to see the animals, and ride horses if possible. It was just a thought. You will be my first family through this organization, and I would really like to make it as special for you, as it will be for me. I will do what ever you would like to do though, the choice is yours! Just let me know, and I will schedule around you!"

First it's MAW granting her wish, then it's this board, then we find out about the Big Give (which I need to post pictures from), then the free night at Boardwalk and to top it all off the Great information about the Littlest Hero's Project and a photographer that seems amazing.

Thank you Lord for providing, you say you will, but sometimes trust is difficult for me, but thank you!

And to all on this board that have taken the time to read, pray and comment, Thank You! If not for your advice, friendship and support this trip wouldn't be as magical and I can't wait to share the results!

Oh we created a countdown chain yesterday and tear the first link today. I will take photo's later this morning when everyone wakes up. Which reminds me maybe I need to go back to sleep.

Oh and on the work front. I got word from a company I greatly desire to work for that my application is being considered for an East Coast position. I hope it also get's considered for the position here in Texas, Colorado and Southern Cal. I think all three of those choices I would enjoy a little more. Y'alls cold really freaks me out!

It is nice to hear about so many wonderful people. You will certainly have an amazing trip. With all the great opportunities for added activities I'm sure you will have difficulty choosing. I hope that you get an amazing job, even if it is on the east coast. That would move you closer to WDW too

Well the "Big Give" has begun and we have had to wait to post pictures until a new digital camera was purchased. We now have the camera a few pictures to post. These are not in order of receipt, as we got a few things before the camera arrived so tonight Mya will be putting a few items back on for photos. Until then let's share what I do have:

J Roberts sent us some wonderful Disney Passports for both Aidan and Mya. I want to know how she makes these, as they are simply remarkable!
