Yes, I do have someone to pick up our mail but if they miss the mail, I guess I can pick it up from the office when we come back. I will definitly take lots of pics from Camp and tell you guys all about it.

Hello - I was touched by your story, and added you to my prayers. I hope that Mya's Wish see many dreams fulfilled.

Hooray for Maroo! It seems that she is always surrounded by magic, but I think that is really the magic she makes by being the special person she is. How wonderful that you have the CRT ADRs you wished for.

Have a wonderful time at Camp Sunshine! Although we are from Canada, our own Wish Granter volunteers there in the summer. Perhaps Shelley will be there when you are!

We'll look forward to learning more when you get back!
Alison

Maroo led me here, and I just had to say how beautiful your little Mya is! She is in my prayers! Have a great week at camp! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Hurray for your CRT adr!!! Have a great time at camp and know that my whole family is praying for you and your beautiful daughter!!!!!!! Your story is so touching!

I am writing from an emergency room in Maine. Yesterday afternoon I was watching my sisters three children and in the midst of them playing, my 5 year old nephew had pushed Mya down a pair of concrete steps. Thus busting her lip on the inside and out. Now up untill then Mya has had no fever problems but that night she got a temp of 99.9. So I was freaking out because I thought we weren't going to be able to go to Camp Sunshine. When I called her doctor, however I was told not to worry about it as it is not a true fever. This morning Mya woke up with a normel temp, so I thought we would be okay. Lo and behold while we were en route to Maine, she started feeling hot and not acting herself but an hour later she would be cool again. When we arrived at camp she spent three hours playing and running around energetically. At 8:00, I checked her temp and it was normal. At 8:15 I checked again and it was 101.5. So the doctor was called and we were sent to the emergency room. Now we are waiting to see if they are going to keep her and transfer her to CHOP or give her antibiotics and send her back to camp. The moral of this story is to never watch your sister's kids when: a) your child is on active treatment and b) you are leaving the next day to get a break from the hospital world.:sad2:

On Mya's chest x-ray scans, they found what they think is a small spot of pneumonia. She us being admitted but they haven't made the decision on Camp Sunshine yet, but I think that dream is pretty much over. Most likely we will stay in the hospital untill she is transfered back to Philadelphia.

Oh Shardai, I'm so sorry your plans for Camp Sunshine are probably not going to happen. I'm even sorrier that Mya is in the hospital again. This must be so hard on both of you. I'll keep praying for you both.

We have a change in Adr's. The great and wonderful Maroo was able to get us CRT!!!:cool1::cool1: The ressie is for July 18, 11:50 am. So I cancelled our ressies to Crystal Palace and switched the Garden Grill ressie to the 19th. Which works out better since the Sunday ADR is for an earlier time. We also got our flight confirmation in the mail and the confirmation hat we are staying at GKTW. Our departing flight is July 17 at 9:55 am and we will land in Orlando at 12:35 pm. Our return flight is leaving July 23 at 5:00 pm and lands in Philadelphia at 9:00 pm. I wanted to start our trip early and leave late so these plans worked out perfectly. Also I just want to say if I had never joined this thread, Mya's wish would have been special but nothing compared to what is happening and I am overwhelmed by all the kindness showed to us. I get so excited everytime I think of the fun Mya will have on this trip. I will not be posting or be on this site for the next 6 days because tommorrow Mya and I are going to Camp Sunshine in Maine. I will check this site and post pics of any packages we may get when we return.

Your flights are AWESOME!!!

And I am so excited about camp...and so sad about the news about camp...
:(

It was awesome to meet you, too, Lynn!!!

Alison...you are so sweet.

Oh no! This just makes me sick! I am so, so sorry about all of this! :grouphug: This deserves one of those big hugs!

I am so sorry!! :sad1:

Oh, I'm so sorry this happened! Hopefully Mya will recover fully and quickly. I'm really sorry about camp.

So Mya woke up today with another fever so now she definitly has to stay inpatient untill her counts come back up/ They may transfer her to her home hospital but they may not. We are definitly in Maine for a couple of days. Mya is scared because she is not used to this hospital and I am seriously home sick. Please continue to pray for Mya. That her counts will recover quickly so we can go home. Although I would rather this happen now than two days before our MAW trip.

So sorry that all this has happened to you :sad2: I'm praying that Mya will recover quickly. You're right, though, at least this happened now and not right before your MAW trip ;) Take care, and know we're all thinking about you both :flower3:

Mya woke up without a fever today, her cat scan came back inconclusive, and her counts may be on the rise!!!!:cool1::cool1::yay: I'm thinking we may be able to go back to Camp Sunshine for the rest of the week. If her counts are up. Or we will go back home. I will say I had a great time in Maine even though we were stuck in the hospital. The camp staff and volunteers were soooooo nice. They gave Mya two care packages and a family even brought us dinner and visited Mya in the hospital. So all in all the trip was a success and we are already planning to come back next year.

I hope you are able to go back to camp for the rest of the week! That would be awesome! But even if you don't, it sounds like they took care of you guys.

Thank you so much for the update. I was wondering how you guys were doing!
