You go Maroo!! I was just trying to figure out what we could do about that CRT!
Your plans look great...with one major issues...maybe? You have 4 days where you are going to Disney Parks...they only give you enough tickets for three days at GKTW...so you will have to pay for that extra day. That may not be a huge deal to you guys, but it is going to be about $75 per ticket or close to that...if you do 4 days in the Disney parks....
I am sorry...I feel like that may be bad news...I know you want to spread it out and take it easy. I wish Disney offered more days.
And I am working on CRT for you...I have a few irons in the fire to help with that ressie.![]()
I have another thought... or two
Friday, July 17 - Pirate and Princess Party at GKTW that night, you should already be there for that. What time do you arrive? Hopefully you can catch the afternoon orientation.
On Sunday July 19th...There is the Candyland Party - it is an awesome party on a great playground and perfect for Mya's age...she will love that playground.
As far as which park...MK will be the best, best for her age and you may find you need a day and a half, especially if you spend time eating, etc...maybe even 2 full days.
I know you guys are going to have issues with the heat...because it will be hot...but I am wondering if you could go as early as you can (there are activities at GKTW that you won't want to miss even for park time) and then maybe rest in the Wish Room (at MK) or the Seimens Lounge (Epcot) or First Aid (any other park)... Also, there are shows and things that are inside...most of the lines are also sort of covered...
I am going to work on a list of good afternoon hot activities for each park and see if I can get that ready by the time you go. Or see if someone on the DIS has already made a list...
Mya never watches Playhouse Disney. She is just not interested in it. Her heart belongs to Nick Jr. and Dora. Ironically though she likes watching Phineas and Ferb, Hannah Montana, and the shows geared to the older children. As for the shows at DHS, Mya hates anything that involves sitting for long periods of time as she is a highly active two year old. The two times I have taken her to the movies, she had to have a aisle to herself so she can run up and down while watching the movie. As for the playground at DHS, when we go on our trip Mya will most likely have a weakened immune system from her last round of chemo and her red blood and platelet counts might be low at the time. So playgrounds are really out of the question. Therefore DHS really has nothing that will interest Mya. Epcot on the othe other hand has the various Nemo attractions, Journey into Imagination, and the World Pavillin offers natural settings where she can run around. So I am going to switch DHS with SeaWorld. That was the only park my mom wanted to do and I previously told her no as there was no way to cram that in. But now we will be able too. My main goal is to go down there and relax. Seeing every park and everything is just not a priority. I pray that one day I will be able to take Mya back there and we will be able to do whatever we missed this trip.
I hear ya!!!!
I know there is fun stuff to see at Epcot. As a PP said Turtle Talk with Crush is awesome, and Finding Nemo will be soooo nice on a hot summer day. Also Mya might like the Gran Fiesta tour in Mexico, and Living with the Land. I know what you mean about staying away from playgrounds. For over a year we kept our DD away from playgrounds, grocery stores, malls, and just people in general. We had a strict visiting policy that I'm sure our family thought we might be nuts. But it was for the health of our DD. I hope you realize I was just making a suggestion.

We are definitly doing all of the GKTW activities except for Mayor Clayton's B-Day party. I plan to deal with the heat by doing the parks in the morning and then go back to GKTW in the afternoon to let Mya and relax. On our MK day, I had planned to utilize the Wish lounge for Mya to cool down and nap, so we can spend more time in that park. I don't really want the Crystal Palace ressie, I only booked it because CRT was not available. So if you can get us in CRT, I will cancel Crystal Palace. I will really appreciate that hot afternoon activity list though.
I think I would leave out DHS if I had to leave out a park. But I really like epcot! We went to DW when my DD was 2 and when she was 3 and she really enjoyed epcot. One thing you can do in epcot on hot afternoons is hang out in the Living Seas area. You can do the Nemo ride, Turtle Talk with Crush, and hang out indoors looking at all the sea life in the aquariums. My kids love the character meets at World Showcase, the yummy snacks around there, and the kidcot stations.
OK! I will take ANY CRT ressie that I can find for your dates... But are you still thinking you will do Disney parks on the 18th, 19th and 20th?
I do think you guys would like Crystal Palace, too...if you are able to keep both ressies? If she likes those characters.
I have posted a request for hot afternoon activities that will hopefully help you plan some.
This is a good idea for a hot day activity! I will put it on my list!!
Our days for Disney will be on the 18, 19, and 20th. The only reason why I dont want to keep CP is because I really don't want Mya in the parks during the hot late afternoons but I will consider taking your advice. It all depends on how Mya's counts are doing.
That makes perfect sense!
Are you taking a stroller for her? That has a shade thing? (What do you call those things?)
And do you guys have a mister fan?
Crystal Palace is in the front of MK and it is, of course, air conditioned and away from the elements. Then maybe you could duck out after lunch...if you decide to even go to CP.
Honestly...no matter what any of us suggest...you know Mya best and what will work for you guys...go with your gut!
And don't feel bad AT ALL if you are not able to keep a reservation.
Would you rather do CP for breakfast instead? If we could get a breakfast ressie? Those are hard to get, too...but I can try for that at the same time I am calling for CRT.![]()
I would love a ressie for breakfast at CP, but you are right they are very hard to get. If you can get that it would be great. I am planning to rent a stroller from a stroller renting company or bring our own one from home. The mister fan is also at the top of my packing list. Do you know where I can get some Crocs for the adults?
I usually get mine at a sporting goods store. Here in MS we have several, but I have seen them at Sports Authority and Bass Pro Shop. But I don't know if you guys have those stores up there? Most of the discount stores (WalMart, Target) have fake crocs, but that is not what you want...you want to pay the extra for the real thing in this case. That extra cushion makes a big difference!
