See, I keep seeing this but I'm confused by it. I see Photopass photographers all over outside (although not many with characters); I'm just bummed they aren't inside at the meet and greets anymore, and I've always wished they were more prevalent with outside characters (although at least outdoors, your phone can usually capture decent photos and there's a line of people to play photographer for you if needed).
But like yesterday, we arrived at about noon and there were two photographers just standing around Town Square, doing nothing. We walked up to one and asked if she'd take some pictures and she basically did a whole photo shoot with us. Then we walked down to the Partners statue just after the band finished the march down Main Street and there were two photographers at the Partners statue and three photographers in front of the castle, with a line for each of those locations. Later, at DCA, we saw two by the Carthay fountain in addition to one with Mickey and one with Donald. There was another one across from Little Mermaid, also doing nothing, a little later...
We see them all over! They're not in the places I find them most necessary (indoor meet and greets), but one day a couple of months ago, I actually noted and photographed 12 different unoccupied Photopass photographers in one day. (I emailed Guest Services about it, basically saying, "hey, you're paying these dozen people do to nothing while the indoor meet and greets go unmanned; that's kind of a shame.)
