Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2025 (Feb 20-24 2025)

I have my bib already through a charity and I'll gladly go that route to skip registration day. I live in Mountain Time, and 10am EST registration is 8am MST, when I usually get to work. I don't have to rush through in the morning and get to work in order to setup my computer and get ready for the day.

I would say yes. I've done the charity route in the past when I really didn't want to miss out on specific races. The bonus is that going the charity route is usually less stressful, as many charities can guarantee a bib before general registration. It feels good to not have that registration stress :) The list of different charities is available here:
https://www.rundisney.com/plan-your...viders/disney-princess-half-marathon-weekend/

You could reach out to the charities that speak to you ahead of July 30th to see if they have bibs for you and your husband.

As for the DVC question, I'll let others more knowledgeable answer. I'm not an owner or a renter.

All WDW resorts are great for race weekends and have their own pros and cons. It's more a matter of personal preference.
Thanks! I’ll start reaching out now then.

In a word? Yes. I would also guess that some have waitlists going for bibs at this point, so if you definitely don’t want to take your chances on registration day, start looking NOW.

For the 5k and 10k all of the Disney resorts have bus transportation available, or you can drive/ride-share to the start line. None of the resorts are walkable to the start area. Stay at the resort you like.

(I’ll also just tack on that you have to pick up your race bib the day before the race, so if you’re planning to run the 5k, you’d need to get your bib on Thursday, and adults must pick up their own bib, with photo ID.)
Thank you! I’ll start looking now.

Hey All - I apologize if I missed this in a previous post. Do Value/Moderate resorts tend to get fully booked for the days of the races? I have friends/family who are still deciding about joining us and I was wondering if they should book a room now just to be safe?

Yes…
We couldn’t get pop for wine & dine (granted it overlaps with Halloween) and when live races resumed in 2021 the cheapest room for wine and dine was initially a $600 a night parking lot view room at akl before more resorts reopened

Since I'm doing the Fairytale Challenge, I'm building my playlists right now so I know I have enough songs. My goal is to have enough for both lists without too much overlap with songs (which will be mostly Disney songs). I have an Apple gift card after recycling my old phone, and am definitely putting that to use.

Does anyone know when the themes for the races will be announced? Based on last year I think it was about a month (30 days or so) prior to registration. With registration being July 23rd for members and July 30th for the public this year, is it possible it could be this week? Or maybe next week at the latest?

it's been about a week before club rundisney registration. which is 2 weeks before general registration.

Have we spit-balled possible princesses for this weekend recently?

Because they seem to loooove recycling the same ones constantly I'm going with:

Moana (because Moana 2 is coming out)
Tiana (because of the new ride)
Snow White (because of the live-action coming out)
and a 4th one that will be completely random (probably Merida since I'm out of DVC points for a year, and won't be able to convince DH to "let" me go due to $$$)

I think Cinderella or Moana since they're the most often repeated.
I do expect Snow White since the live action was supposed to have been released by now. Plus we haven't had Snow White on a medal for a while.
Aurora hasn't been featured since pre-COVID and I feel like she's due. The fairies were on the challenge medal once, and I don't count that as Aurora.
Pocahontas hasn't been featured since right before COVID, so I'll throw her in for the wild card.

Fingers crossed for 5k Mulan… wishful thinking —- me trying to convince my niece (and her parents lol)

Princessess! The Dolphin AP rate (QWH) dropped significantly today. Wednesday night is still expensive but if you are checking in Thursday, the rate is fabulous. Marriott rates change constantly (like flights) so this could be gone in a flash but may come back. I obsessively check rates and this is less than I paid last year. The Pop rate is over $1200 for the same dates.

Non AP rate is not bad at all, considering the Dolphin is a deluxe hotel. Just make sure to ALWAYS book a refundable rate as Marriott often defaults to non-refundable rates.

Edit: Swan is also under $300/night with the AP rate. Unreal for a race weekend!

Thanks, just booked the dolphin! I usually stay in one of the Hiltons. Their rates are super high right now though.

Hoping we get themes next week! I'd love Belle, but I think they just did her? I'd also love Anna.
Hoping any day we find out! A few pages back someone guessed 7/9 since that is 2 weeks out from when Club RunDisney can register!

Edited: figured out how to find the AP rate. THANK YOU so much for posting this! I had booked at Pop but this is an awesome deal! I'm arriving Wednesday so will just keep Pop for the first night to save $$ I guess.
