Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2025 (Feb 20-24 2025)

Sorry I didn't get to make any of the meetups this weekend. I ran the 10K with DH and we had such a great time. We started in B, which I've never been in and it was amazing! DH wasn't really interested in pictures so we only stopped for Anna/Elsa/Kristoff and Spaceship Earth. It was fastest Disney 10K by far and it was really kind of nice to finish a bit earlier. I may have to rethink my race strategies going forward....

Thought I would post this here to show what the corral arrangement was for the half marathon. D, E, and G were split into two corrals with one closing at capacity, then filling the next. Passwords needed to exit and enter after close. We were in F. This was similar to the 2024 Wine and Dine.

After basically not getting a finisher's photo for my first runDisney race ever (MW half in 2023), I am obsessive now about creating space and a good buffer from those around me to get a good shot. I have literally come to a complete stop and waited until people pass me so I can have a good window. I want my picture dangit!

I will never understand why rD organizes he corrals the way they do. Why not go A, B, C, etc etc? Why go backwards??? It’s so annoying when people see the earlier corrals staging and stand up because they think they’re going, too.

I had it pretty clear for my finish line photo. But the guy off to my left hit the pavement at the timing mat. He got up before I could get to him and medics were heading over to check on him. I thought he had tripped. It wasn’t until I saw the photos that I realized he did a jump shot and apparently lost his footing on landing. He got right up and kept going so I guess he was ok. Other than falling it was a pretty good photo.

It's so that the later corrals are closer to the announcers for the pre-show. If it went A, B, C, etc. by the time they got to F there would be a huge empty parking lot between the announcers and the rest of the runners.

You have your photopass ID on your check-in pass. And you can use that ID in the MDE app in the Link Photos option.

I also got a survey but haven’t filled it out yet. Definitely going to comment on the course crowding, especially at the beginning, and the need for more lights in the construction zone. Or, figure out how to route us around that. Or, finish it before next year!

Doesn’t look like I did, and I do have opinions, but rD has ignored them before. Definitely more lighting in the construction zone. A lady face planted in that area as I was approaching and it got crowded trying to get around the group buffering her and keeping her safe.

They definitely need portapotties MUCH earlier in the race. I had to stop during the 10k at a medical tent and I wasn’t the only one. I don’t know what it is about Disney races but I have to pee pretty soon after my wave starts, and yet I’m fine at other races

If it's not too late and kind of a race report, I just want to say "what an amazing set of races!" I got a PR on all three races. I beat my prior half marathon time by 17 minutes! I had only been taking advice from DopeyBadger for four weeks before the race but I do think his advice helped immensely with the races.

That half marathon was the best race of my life! I cannot believe how good it felt. Thanks to everyone who made that race so special.

Does anyone know if I can still purchase merch from that weekend? I bought the spirit jersey, but I find myself wishing that I had bought more things. I see that the Disney Store doesn't have anything. Am I just out of luck? Thanks! Kim

I've seen a few posts on Facebook about some limited items and sizes that are at the Disney outlets in the Orlando area. There are local shoppers if you aren't close by. They usually show up at Cast Connections as well, if you happen to know a CM. And there are always the resellers on Ebay, Mercari, etc. They may start dropping prices on things that haven't sold as we get closer to SS weekend.
