I recently saw this blog and got very excited as we have not been there since this started: http://www.disunplugged.com/2011/03/21/schools-in-session-at-disneylands-princess-fantasy-faire/

My question is... do you have to wait in line to meet the princesses to be a part of these activities? Or can you bypass the princess meet and greet and go right down to this. We intend on doing Ariels for lunch one day simply to avoid the long line.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You do not have to wait in line to see the Princesses to go into the stage area for the show.

yup, just look at your park schedule and go down to the stage area. It was a cute little show. You don't have to meet the princesses first.

i'm assuming that the may calendar has not yet been updated to include Princess Fantasy Faire in May. i noticed that it's there for the rest of the month (april), but starting may 1st, nothing...no PFF. we'll be there during memorial day weekend, and i was hoping to bring my girls to PFF.

What's also cool is that if you wait around for a little bit after the coronation, the three princesses that were just in the show will come back out for meet and greets. It takes literally 5-10 minutes to meet 2 (We've never tried to do all 3), as the lines are very short.

I have another question about the PFF...

what is the best way to do this if you don't want to do the activities and just meet the princesses?

Thanks!

If you DO want to meet the princesses then you will have to wait in the line to do so. If that doesn't sound appealing, you can always do the princess breakfast or lunch at Ariel's Grotto.

The advantage of the PFF is that it's included with park admission and doesn't involve the price tag of a character meal. The catch is that it can be tricky to see a specific princess if one is more important to you than the others.

Standing in the meet and greet line at the Royal Walk is the only way to meet the princesses without any of the activities. At least in my opinion, the Royal Walk has a major drawback in that it is constantly rotating so you never know who you're going to get. And that line can get up to 2 hours long.

Going to the Royal Coronation show may prove to be a better option since you'll know fairly quickly who may be coming back out a few minutes after the show ends for a meet and greet. The little kids enjoy the whole royal dance training aspect of the show. Just stick around after the show for a few minutes to give the CMs a chance to clean up the stage. Be aware that they don't always return for the meet and greet after the show.

If you only want to see a specific princess, try asking one of the character handler CMs what the best way to see the specific princess is. They may be able to help you avoid waiting in a line for a princess they know won't be there or they may also be able to tell you how to see the one princess you really want to.

So according to the link above, Ariel is not listed at the PFF, since her personal meet and greet has been taken over :) by the fairies does she ever show up at PFF or just her restaurant?

We did PFF last July and saw Ariel, Tiana and Belle.

In the times that I've gone to PFF I havecaught Ariel several times. The hardest for me to find was Snow White. :goodvibes

I am far from a Princess expert, but here are my observations:

Princess Fantesy Faire
Meet & Greet is normally open from 9:00am to 6:00pm
1 This is called "Disney Princess Royal Walk"
2 The wait time is usually 40 minutes to One hour.
3 There are three stations used.
4 The usual Princesses are: Two or Three of: Aurora, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Arial (gown), Tiana, Jasmine, and on occasion "Princess Minnie".

Beginning at 10:00am on weekends and the summer, about every 45minutes they start with the Coronation, then Storytelling, Coronation, Storytelling, etc.

Coronation Ceremony
1 This is almost always with the ""Big Three" Aurora, Snow White, and Cinderella.
2 When the Coronation Ceremony is in process, other Princesses are at the Meet & Greet.
3 After only the FIRST (10:00am) Aurora, Snow White, and Cinderella will usually, very briefly, meet and sign autographs.

Storytelling
1 This is a short (10-15 min) story with one Princess and an assistant.
2 This is most often Belle, Aurora, Arial, or Cinderella.
3 They will not meet or sign autographs, and disappear very quickly.

Other locations:
On either side of the Castle:
After the band shows (11:00am, 2:00pm) and when there is not an event in Plaza Gardens to the left side (usually 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30) they often come out to either side of the Castle.

On the right side: Snow White can often be found at 2:15 at her wishing well, sometimes with the Whicked Queen. And Belle or Cinderella can be found to the right, but not at Snow White's Wishing Well.

Left Side There often will be one or more at the Plaza and the path to the castle. Often there will be Arial, Cinderella, and/or Aurora. Also you will often find Mary Poppins and Bert.

Inside the Castle Aurora, Cinderella, and/or the Fairy God Mother can be often found just inside the castle near BBB. Hint: There can be a long line for the Fairy God Mother inside the castle, but Snow White will be standing all alone at the wishing well 30' away. :confused3This is because nearly everyone uses the main entrance instead of the side paths.

At the Entrance:
On weekends or during the Summer one or two Princesses will sometimes be be at the Entrance. This can be hit or miss.

Aladdins Oasis behind the Tiki Room Is where you will find Jasmine, and/or Alidden. (2:40-3:00 and other times.)

Tangled
You will only find Repunzel and her meet and greet in Fantasy land.. The wait time is often more than an hour. Hint: If you must SEE Repunzel she often takes breaks. If the Door is closed she is not there, go to the path between Casey Jr. and the Resturant, and in a few minutes she will walk by and wave on her way back.

New Orleans Square:
Some days, Tiana will have short shows, and very briefly meet and sign.
lately I have found Angelica from the New Pirates movie in NOS.

California Adventure:
You used to be able to find Aurora on Hollywood Blvd at park opening.
Mulan can be found around CA near the Warf sometimes.
The Princesses at Arials Grotto never leave the Grotto. Go back to DL.

Thanks so much for this great info!! Its good to know what really goes on and how to work around it to better the trip!!

We did PFF last July and saw Ariel, Tiana and Belle.

Just wanted to add that when we were just there a few weeks ago at the beginning of April, we also saw Ariel, Tiana and Belle at PFF. Well, we didn't actually go see them but were sitting at the tables by Troubadour Tavern when they walked out from backstage and over to the meet and greet area.

I have another question about the PFF...

what is the best way to do this if you don't want to do the activities and just meet the princesses?

Thanks!

If you want to skip huge line up just go first thing in the morning, hop on the train and take it all the way around, get off and walk right up to the PFF, we had 3 people in front of us! This way we were in fantasyland with tons of characters and very small line ups!

Snow White was by her wishing well Wednesday on at least two occasions, probably starting around 11 AM and 1 PM.
