There have been some posts recently about the PFF, and as a mom of 3 die-hard princess fans, I went searching for some pics. I found this link which has tons of pics of the whole PFF experience
http://www.laughingplace.com/Lotion-View-288.asp
Anyways, hope that helps some people out. I am going to try and pick up a brochure of services/prices for the hairstyling and face painting when I'm there and then I'll post when we get back! princess:

Thank you for finding those pictures!! That sure looks like alot of fun and I just know my DD will have a BLAST!! Please let us know the cost of things when you return.
Thanks

Now here's what those pictures don't show:

1. Waiting an hour to get to meet the Princesses.
2. Paying $50 to have your DD's hair and very light make-up done.
3. Being bored out of your mind if you're not a girl between 2 and 8.

I took my DD there last summer and she loved it. She's 5. She loved meeting "the new princesses". They are princesses who "haven't met their prince yet and don't have a movie yet", to paraphrase my DD. AKA generic princesses. There was a picture of them in the link.

We went to the Bippidy Boppity Boutique at WDW and they did a much better job with the hair and makeup than they did in DL. But DD didn't care. She loved it all. I was totally bored. Maybe I should have got my hair done, too? LOL

I'm so confused about this Princess Fantasy Faire thing. It's been awhile since we went to DL. (summer of '06, I think) Last time we were there, they had the Snow White show in that section of the park.

I know that's gone but this Fantasy Faire, is it a show? Do you have to pay extra??
Are there certain times? How early should/can we go?

I've seen the pics but I'm still not sure what exactly goes on there. :confused3

Thanks for any info! :flower3:

It's in the Snow White show area. It's free to get in. The only things you pay for are the food from the snack bar and things from the Princess shop, which is also where you get your hair and makeup done (the girls, not you! LOL).

For free, you can hear a story from a Princess, stand in line to meet and greet the Princesses, decorate a crown, wander around. It's the kind of thing that runs all day -- no specific show times, although I suppose it might open later than the park and close earlier than the park. And I think the Princesses might not be there at Parade time because they have to be in the parade, too? Depending on what you do, it can take 5 minutes to 2 hours (if you wait in line to see the Princesses and get hair and makeup done).

Thank-you so much! I am sure my girls will want to go there, although I think we'll skip the $50 hair and make-up. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

So I'm assuming this is the only place to find the princesses now? They aren't posing for pics in front of the castle anymore or by the wishing well?

I don't know if they have stopped posing in front of the castle. I seem to recall (but I could be wrong) that there are only 2-4 princesses at the Fantasy Faire at any time, which means there are 2-4 others who could be wandering around the park or posing by the castle.

And even if you totally avoid the PFF, you and your DDs will see all the other girls wearing their dresses with their hair and makeup all fixed up. It might be harder to avoid than you think!!!

We just got back from DL 2 weeks ago. There were 3 princesses when we went to the fantasy faire. We did not stand in line to meet them though because we had the princess lunch scheduled at Ariel's Grotto. However on our last day there we were standing at the entrance in front of the train station when Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, & Aurora all approached my dd. I didn't even see them coming. They spent awhile chatting and playing with her and posed for pics! It was awesome and the only time I've ever seen that many princesses together like that.

Thanks for the info. on the Princess Faire. I was planning on bypassing this since we will have dinner at Ariels. But the pictures convinced me that we have to check it out! Is the story time at scheduled times?

We will skip the hair do and make up unless my DD throws a fit. We will do everything else there and I am sure she will want to buy something at the princess store. Thanks for all the great info and pics!;)

I have heard you can ask the Cms about when the storytelling times are. My girls loved the Princess Storytelling last time when it was at the Once Upon a Time Princess Shop -- so I'm sure they'll want to hear the storytelling at the PFF, also.
I posted the link to the pics so people could get a feel of what it looked like. We haven't been yet, but we'll go on our next trip. I know it is an hour wait to meet the princesses, but on our last trip we waited 45 minutes to ride Peter Pan and waited an hour to ride Dumbo -- so I don't mind waiting an hour to meet 3 princesses :goodvibes I will skip the make-up, but I think I might splurge and have the hair done. My friend who took her daugher to get her hair done said it was absolutely gorgeous -- maybe it depends on the stylist/what you decide to get --I know everything at DL is pretty expensive, but my 3 DD's won't be into princesses for very long . . .
Anyways, hope it is fun and I'll report back after we go. :wizard:

Take your princesses to Libby-Lu for $25.00 to get light make-up, fingernails, up-do and a tiara. Then take her to the PFF to hear the stories, meet the Princesses, and do the crafts. From what I'm reading Libby-Lu is half the price of PFF, and I think they do a nice job!

Well, that could be true, but thankfully my girls are getting older, they are both 7, and aren't into the hair/make-up thing. They were when they were younger and I'm sure they will be again when they are teens, lol, but for now I think they'd be happy just going and checking things out.
Then heading off to Splash Mountain or something. :rotfl:

Saves me some money.... :rolleyes1 :thumbsup2

I actually think I'm more into the Princesses then they are. :sad2: I just don't want to face that they are out growing them.....

OMG, that is so cool!! Wow, how lucky you were. :yay:

Is that the pic in your sig??? I LOVE it. :thumbsup2

Where is Libby-Lu located at and what is the wait time for something like that there?

Do you know how soon they start taking reservations?? Is it a princess store? Or just a beauty Salon that does this for little girls?

I have no idea how soon for appointments. It's a store full of girly things. Princess, Rock Star, Hannah Montanna, make-up, fingernail polish, glitter, bags, backpacks, clothes you name it. And they have all kinds of packages to pick from. My DD13 usually just gets the up-do, light make-up with rhinestones glued on the cheek, bling fingernails and a tiara. With the package comes 5 littlle things she got to pick out to put in a backback that they give you. She got lipgloss, glitter, mirror, fingernail polish and I can't remember. She did this with a friend. After they were done, they went to DL and proceeded to buy a Princess sash. princess: They both looked adorable, and got alot of compliments, even though they were older. She will be 14 next month, and is already looking forward to going to Libby-Lu again this December. :yay:

I found there website and it seems more for older girls then younger. My DD is only 3.5, but we will be spending a day walking around DTD so I am sure we will find ourselves going into there to check out the store.

Just for your info...the last time we were there there was a little girl about 3-4 getting herself done. She looked just adorable!

Yes... go check it out and see what you think.

Have a fun trip!

Hey I just noticed we will be there the same time as you. We are going from the 13 -16th. I will have a lime green Mickey on me. So if you see a 50ish dark haired woman, with 2 teens in Libby-Lu say Hi!!!

Ruthie - I'll also be there the same time as you. I have two daughters, one 7 and one 4, and when my 4-year-old was 3.5 (like yours is now), she went to a birthday party at a LL at a nearby mall. She came home all dolled up, with a toy headset/microphone-boom around her head (she chose the "rockstar" option), and didn't take it off for a week. She wore it to Wal-Mart, she wore it to play outside, she wore it when watching American Idol, she wore it to bed (but that's where we drew the line). So, if she's a girlie-girl like mine, she's not too young for LL.

I'll have to admit that I thought she was too young to be getting all made-up like that, but I'm just an overprotective dad... :)
