You will see all sorts of young girls wearing princess dresses all the time - even just regularly around the park. If she decides to wear it, make sure you try to find that princess that day. You will get a great picture.

As mentioned above there are little princess's everywhere. My dd7 wears a princess dress at least once every visit.

all the little girls look so cute in their dresses... keep in mind if its winter when you go, she might be cold, and if its in the middle of the summer, cue to the material and fabric of some of the dresses, she might get kinda hot... when it comes to the rides, don't go on rides where you get wet, its such a pretty dress, you wouldn't want to ruin it :)

My only thoughts would be make sure the dress is weather appropriate (as a PP said). If it is cold, have her wear pants/long sleeve shirt underneath, and if it is hot make sure you have a change of clothing as the material the dresses are made from can get itchy/hot. Also make sure she still wears good shoes/sandals to the parks and not flimsy plastic dress up shoes!:goodvibes :cutie:

Should I take a stroller for her? :confused3 We are going with my cousin and her godchild who is 2.

Yes on the stroller and dresses. When dd and I went last year in August she only wore princess dresses. I brought regular clothes but she never wanted them. The CMs give the little ones so much extra attention when they are dressed up that my dd felt so special!

We also brought our old umbrella stroller along. She would use towards the end of the day or if we were staying for a nighttime event. It was sucha godsend on those nights as I did not have to carry her from the park to the bus or from the bus to the room!

Toy R Us has their princess dresses on clearance on their webpage today.

I'd also suggest that you bring her a change of clothes if she wants to wear the dress in the park. My youngest sister (age 8) wore one on our last trip and she wasn't very comfortable in it after a while. The little girls are super cute in the princess dresses, though. I'm partial to the Belle dress. It's adorable.

If you got them take them. Welcome to the DIS!!!

Bring both as pp's have stated it is very much a blessing to have your own stroller. They may not use it through out the day but you can store the extra stuff you have to carry in them and not have to rent a locker or a stroller. Also when it gets kind of crowded when everyone is leaving you don't have to worry so much about where they are. My DD loves to wear her costumes but she always likes to change out of them at some point whether its hot or they are itchy. :welcome: to the dis and have a great trip!

my daughter wore a dress every day in the parks. think of this, does she wear dresses in normal non disney life? if she does, and she is used to playing in them, than go for it. my dd hates pants, she only owns one pair of jeans. it was so normal to b e in a dress, that being a princess every day just added to the magic. many princess dresses have ruffles and are long. if she is used to jeans and shorts, i'd recommend at least bringing a change of clothes because the dresses will get in her way. hope this helps.

My older dd has quite a few princess dresses. What dresses are the least and most popular. I really only want to pack 1 or 2.

Thank you for the welcomes and the suggestions. My daughters favorite is Belle also. I will definetly bring a change of clothes.:thumbsup2

My DD (6) wears a light tee and knit shorts with sneakers under hers. It makes it less itchy and if she gets tired of it...whoosh...it comes right off.

Yes & Yes to both!, your DD will get so much attention is makes you feel so very proud princess: , both my DD's have done it in the past the best experience for us was definately at MGM, my eldest DD dressed up as Jasmine & my youngest DD as Tinkerbell, during the day we had photo's with many characters, includin Aladdin & Jasmine etc, but during the parade Jasmine waved to my eldest DD and asked where Tink was? pixiedust: , well it was priceless, to think of all the thousands that we're in the park that day, she remembered my DD's.

Hi, I have to chime in on one of my favorite subjects!! Yes, bring some dresses if you have them. Check out Wal Mart as they are about $15 Cdn and they are perfect for this occasion. My DD wore her Cinderella costume to dinner at the Castle and she looked awesome!! She is four and she looks like a princess in training sitting next to her idol!!

If you can afford it the Bibbity Bobbity Booutique is a great thing to do. I still regret not doing it. It is expensive so you have to be sure it is what you want to spend your funds on. If we ever go back that will be a must on our list. They have wonderful costumes to buy there and in any park, but they do cost quite a bit more than you would pay at Wal Mart or even a party store that sells costumes.

My DD wore capris and a t-shirt under hers during the day and at night I put leotards under the dress (for our Castle dinner). DD wore her runners, which were fine because the dresses are long. In March it will be cool, but it shouldn't be cold so a t-shirt would be fine. Just always have a jacket handy and even a change of clothes.

And yes to a stroller. We used ours for holding our junk etc.., but it was great for the times when DD was tired or when she had a snack.

I suggest bringing a change of clothes and a change of shoes, if it is rainy season. We went in December 2006. It rained a bit each day, but nothing too bad. However, on our last day it poured. We all got soaked, but I was able to put dry clothes and shoes on DD so she would not get sick. We also used the change of clothes when we met Ariel in her grotto at MK. The wait was quite long and there is this little water park in front of where you wait. THe water shoots out of the ground as if you were under water. Anyway, DD played there after meeting Ariel and got soaked. SHe loved it and we had the clothes to change so it was no big deal.

Have a wonderful time everyone!!!

I just wanted to pipe in. While not really a princess, my daughter wore the Alice in Wonderland dress on our last trip to Disneyland. The fabric is pretty lightweight and she was able to wear it most of the (pretty warm) day. She even wore tights and black, patent leather shoes. So, it's a pretty good option and kind of fun because the Alice dress seems to be less common (at DL at least.)

Either way, have fun!

where do you find an alice in wonderland dress??? we are doing the teaparty at floridian and that would be so cute!
