This is one of the only character meals that we haven't done. I love the princesses, especially Belle. She's my favorite, and I've heard the primary photo is with her in her lovely gold dress. I won't even pretend this meal is for my son, it's definitely all me :lmao:

DS will be about 3.5 when we hope to go in September. Last year (at 2.5) he was a little nervous when meeting certain characters, like Aladdin, Alice, Mary Poppins...if you get my drift. ;) Anyone think he'll be okay for this meal? I should add that Snow White and Aladdin are big fav movies in our house, and he is very familiar with all the princesses. We've done CRT before with no issues, but he was much younger then. Is this just stranger anxiety that will probably pass? I should add, once he got used to Aladdin, they were best buds. We actually have these gorgeous pictures of DS and Aladdin looking out across the World Showcase, pointing to Spaceship Earth. Aladdin took him by the hand, and led him over to look at the water, talking very quietly while the Photopass photographer went crazy snapping pics and then jumped the fence to take one of or favorite photos ever. So all in all, it ended well, but he was  to begin with. Thanks in advance!

You know your child better than anyone else, so only you can really say if he will be comfortable with the experience.

The funny things is, we never have issues with other characters...just not sure what to do. Anyone else? :)

we went last year dd 3 and ds 6. my daughter loved it although when we went belle was in her "peasent" blue dress. but, i have to say, princess jasmine was a no show, and she is dd favorite so she was very dissapointed. yet we did get ariel in her pink dress which she loved. just be prepared for "different" food. to be honest, none of us really ate much. in fact, that would be my one complaint they should have more choices for "picky eaters". but, seeing the princesses is worth it. we are going back in april and will be doing it again, but, this time we are going for breakfast, we figure the food is probably more basic for breakfast.

The breakfast food is wonderful. We enjoyed all the princesses too - Belle greeted us in her yellow dress - then we had Mulan, Aurora, Snow White and Ariel (green dress). Each princess was quite charming and had a nice visit at each table - if your child is a little shy, I think this would be a good atmosphere. The princesses just come around to each table, you don't have to try to get a child to go up to them (just the "host" princess at the entrance). They just talk to you at your table - and will pose for pics and sign books if you want them to.

And remember - for a child that young, a lot changes in 1 year. Things they were afraid of a 2.5 may not scare him at 3.5.

You would love this meal!

When we were there last September, the photo at the entrance was done with Ariel in her green dress and Belle was in her blue and white (apron) dress... There was also Jasmine and Snow White. It seems that the Princesses and/or their apparel tend to change. It was very relaxing and the food was good, but not a lot to choose from. Plated dinners.

My family has breakfast ADRs here in April. We are bringing our twin DDs who will be 2 in June. They are young but I know they will enjoy the princesses. We went when they were 18 months old and they were scared of everyone and all characters so I hope this goes better this time.

Thanks so much for all your responses! It sounds like the character interaction is really great. And yes, to the poster who said so much can change in a year. Typically my DS is momentarily shy when meeting new people, but as long as he deems them to be friendly, then he's fine. I was definitely planning on breakfast, I don't think I'd like the dinner fare. Plus, I love breakfast out on vacation, I rarely eat a hearty breakfast at home, (more an oatmeal and cereal girl) so it's a great vacation treat for me.
