My Daughter wants to purchase a princess costume for our upcoming trip to wear during one day at the parks and I am looking to find one inexpensively. I did fine out that the parks sell them for about $55. Any ideas on finding one for less $$???
Thanks.

im not sure how fancy you want them but our walmart has some on clearance for $15.00.. the last time i checked they had ariels dress, cindys dress, auroras dress, and maybe belles. they are back in the toy department with the princess tiaras ect.
hope that helps

When is your trip? You could wait until after Halloween and get them on sale at the Disney Store if you have one close by.

Also, give Ebay a try. You may be able to find one there. I found all DD's Princess bedroom stuff on Ebay.princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess:

We are going in March of this year and I already called the Disney store and they don't stock them when not in the Halloween season. I also checked Ebay and didn't find any.

I will have to check Target and Walmart this weekend - pending weather.

Any more ideas??

Were you looking for one princess in particular? Currently there are lots of Cinderella costumes on eBay.

I think I've seen Disney princess dress-up at TOys R US and Target (maybe availble on line, too?)

Hope that helps!

Thanks for all the advice. We spent all day Sunday shopping for a Costume. We went to Target and they had some, but were too small (they didn't have different sizes, only 3+). We tried Toys R Us and they didn't have any except Barbie, we then went to Party City and they had some pink and gold wings and a skirt and wand set, so she decided to be a pink/gold TinkerBell instead of Belle and I was only out $20 which also included a plastic hook for my son to be Hook. We have a pink leotard and ballet shoes and tights. It's actually better since she looks AWFUL in yellow. I will be sure to bring a change of clothes for her on the day she wears the costume.
Now the problem is not letting her wear it until we leave. She did try it on once to make sure it fit and that she liked it.

For anyone else looking at the dresses, the Target 3+ size fits my size 6 DD & should probably fit a size 7. I almost returned it when DH brought it home, but he convinced me to try it on DD & I was surprised it fit.

Angel's momma - FYI - we tried it on in the store over her clothes (she would have worn a shirt under it anyway - and it was too small. It was pulling across her chest and shoulders. The length was fine and they only cost $20 which wasn't bad, but DD complained she was uncomfortable and I don't want her compaining while walking around MK. Thanks. I would recommend everyone try them on!
