We are also bummed about this , well maybe not DH but I know DD is soo gonna miss it this was her favorite ride last year it was all she talked about We just watched a YouTube video yesterday of it and had a blast singing along !

Wow, Dawn you certainly do a lot of great things to save money for your trips

I have to say we really don't do much of anything cause we use our tax refund to take us every year . So we just pay for much as we can ahead and put the rest in our savings till the day of our vacation .

We use taxes or bonuses too. Those things pay for the booking/package. I do the other things as "extras" to boost daily spending $ etc

Dawn - Great tips for saving money! I am a huge coin collector and I love to "cash in". I bought Nicholas a bank that actually counts his coins, since he loves to "cash in", too.

I have been using my AAA vVsa a lot and I have $250 in rebate coupons. That should pay for my next park ticket when I go in September. I decided not to renew my AP in June. I will just start fresh in September with the AAA ticket. I would love to time it right in order to get another three trips on my AP. That would mean I would have to go back right after Labor Day of 2011. Always planning!

This isn't really money saving but last year we gave each of the kids $10 a day to spend and if they wanted something that say cost $30 they would have to save there money for 3 days & then purchase . The youngest DS3 didn't get of course but the other two did and it taught them how to save for something that they really wanted .

I also made up mousekeeping envelopes and ones for the FGIT ahead of time so I wouldn't have to take it from our spending money each day

I sure do, because today marks 99 days until we check into the Boardwalk! So you know what that means....TIME TO DO THE DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE!!!!

Since we booked Bounceback almost a year out, 99 days actually seems close

You guys won't believe this but I spent a couple hourse yesterday CHANGING most of our adrs! After reading Spectromagic updates on a couple TRs (yes Melissa and Ann I mean you two ) Caitlin is dying to see Spectro (we haven't seen it the last few trips) and of course it isn't scheduled for our MK day so I flipped our AK and MK days BUT was able to get our same adrs and times! Then when I looked at all the park calendars I saw that DHS was having pm EMH so I flipped our Epcot and DHS days. This seemed like a no-brainer since DHS closed at 7pm every night of our stay but one. In flipping those dates I was still able to get the same restaurants and times just on a different day. I am hoping this means the crowd level will be really low since these adrs are still available! Cross your fingers!

I'm sure yesterday you all heard that Disney is changing the name of the MK carrousel. Instead of it being called Cinderella's Golden Carrousel next month it will become Prince Charming's. Any thoughts on the name change? Like it? Hate it? I'm guessing they're trying to appeal to boys? Let us know what you think!

I know a lot of parents of boys complained that they were making the new Fantasyland too girl focused so I think maybe this is their attempt to target boys? I read the new "back story" they created but I don't remember anything about his horse.

Thanks! It was a lot of work switching but I was really pleased we could still get Tusker House before park opening and dinner at Ohana. Those 2 are usually really tough!

The dance party sounds like it would be a lot of fun for the little ones
