Prince Eric

Is there any where in WDW we can see/meet Prince Eric. My son's name is Erik and he is very eager to meet him.

The only place we saw Prince Erik over Christmas was in the parade...no meet N greets I would have LOVED to get a picture of DD with him as Ariel is her Favorite princess.
You would think they could put him in his shipwreck clothes with Ariel in her grotto.

OT, just wanted to say my brother's name is spelled EriK and he's always happy to see others spell it the "cool way"

My son is also named Erik.

Prince Eric can be seen in the Disney Dreams Come True Parade. AFAIK he's not available for Meet & Greets.

The last time he was out for meet and greets was March 2007, for the P&P. He hasn't bee out since, unfortunately.

Then we got REALLY lucky in November 2006! He was with Ariel in her Grotto. We were next up when they stopped us to let in some Make-a-Wish Girls. In comes Eric to be with them and when they left, he stayed!

The best part is DD was wearing Ariel's Wedding Dress and DS was dressed as Prince Eric in his wedding garb (I made both costumes.) Ariel was tickled and even kissed her 'little prince'.

Ariel & Eric spent lots of time with their doubles and I got lots of photos.

He is in the end of Voyage of the Little Mermaid show at DHS. Best advice would be to ask at Guest Relations there or at MK, you can really NEVER tell when a character is going to be out until you ask and who know you might get lucky? You can always ask a CM at Voyage as well! Good luck with the character hunt!

We asked in December 2008 about meeting Eric and were told that he does not do meet/greets "at this time". He's in parades sometimes, he's in Fantasmic and he's in the Voyage to the Mermaid show, but other appearances are pretty rare (of course in Disneyspeak that means it's never impossible, lol).

However, we met a wonderful CM who was able to get us a private meet and greet with Eric and Max (the dog). As you can see by the expression on Jessica's face she is beyond thrilled....it was truly a "Dream Come True" moment for her......she walked out of that meet gushing about how Eric had hugged her, lol.

I enjoyed meeting Eric, but Max definitely "stole the show" in that meet. For such a big dog he sure bounced around a lot.

And here is a closer photo of Ariel and Eric on the boat....sorry it's not too clear, I was snapping as fast as the camera would go and obviously moving at the same time, lol. This appears to be a much younger Eric, lol.

The pictures with Eric and Max are great! I would love that more than my kids would I love Eric!

Prince Eric is on our "Wanted" list for characters we want to meet.
We went to the Pirate & Princess Party in 2007 expecting to meet him and Flounder but they weren't out
I have to admit I was a bit disappointed.
But we had fun anyway.
