I forgot to let you know about the big suprise Rod sprung on me Tuesday night. He came home from work and told me he had "decided" that we were going to go see La Nouba (the Cirque De Soleil show). What???
Does the man not know how much those tickets cost? If he didn't then, he does now as I told him that they were expensive.
It obviously did not matter as he bought them anyway. Now I am not sure if I should be upset that he spent that much money or happy that he actually participated in the plan.
I think I am going to go with happy.
I took Paige to see one of their shows in February with my parents when they came to Indy and she absolutely
LOVED it!
So I know she will enjoy this one. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.
I took tomorrow off from work so I can do laundry, clean the house up, and pack. I also need to head to the post office and Walmart to pick up those last minute things. But I have gotten some things taken care of already...
I have the neighbor boy set up to watch our dog for the week, get our mail, and keep an eye on the house. I told him we would pay him $100 and he said that he understood if we needed to pay him less than that especially with the economy the way it is. Now he is 17 years old and I was shocked that he was that aware of the economy. I mean aren't teenagers supposed to be so wrapped up in themselves that they can't see anything else?
He really is a good kid, plus I thought I was getting off cheap with only paying him $100...afterall, he is walking across the street a couple of times a day to feed Apollo, let him out, and play with him plus everything else.
I have the neighbors next to the 17 year old taking us to the airport. Lucky for us, one of them works first shift and can take us on her way to work. They are also going to help with our dog when the 17 y/o is in school. Plus they both work for the police department so will keep a good eye on our house. I am so lucky to have such great neighbors!
In less than 36 hours we will be on a plane heading to Disney!
I can hardly believe that after months and months of planning that it is this close.
Until next time, happy reading.
