Eh, few really know for sure. They live and travel together, and are fiercely protective of their family. Prince Phillip strongly opposed the relationship; Andrew may just be being respectful while his father is still alive, or there may be some other type of pressure that we don't really know about.

I sympathise with Epstein’s victims and I also think it is sad that a man who bravely served his country for more than twenty two years as an Officer in the Royal Navy, including active service during the Falkands War should end his career like this. What a heavy heart the Queen must have tonight.
I wonder how many others Epstein will bring down posthumously, if and when other documents and recordings are released.

No thank you. There's a lot of hate out there towards Meghan Markle because she is of mixed race. I won't let that slide. If the person I asked can't answer why he or she can't stand someone, that says something, doesn't it? Why not just say "I don't like the way she handled this" or "her viewpoint on this issue is against my beliefs". Are we not supposed to ask why when someone states a blunt opinion?

Well, thankfully, you won't ever likely have to deal with her in person. And she had more money before her marriage than most of us ever will, so I can't judge her on that front either. Kate is the one who married a royal straight away before she had to have a career or support herself. Has she ever had a real job? I think there is a term for someone who goes to college to get their MRS degree...

If anything, I'd say that MM must truly love Harry. She gave up her independence and freedom to marry into a family who is known to be overbearing, enmeshed, controlling, scandalous, and harsh. Her life will never be her own again, even if they divorce.

The royal family hasn't been relevant for me since 1776, so I can watch them from afar without the pressure to support a family that essentially does nothing of value.

I think Prince Andrew's association with Epstein will be the downfall of Andrew, but not of the royal family. Their ties in the government are very deep, it would take a lot for the whole monarchy to be dissolved.

If Andrew is guilty of the same crimes Epstein committed, I can see his title being removed and his financial support cut off. Hopefully he would face prison, but I somehow doubt any of the major players in this scandal will see true punishment.

There are plenty of reasons why people aren't feeling the love for MM (and Harry, these days). I think first and foremost, she's American, not British, and she was divorced. It rekindled thoughts of when Prince Edward abdicated the throne for divorced American Wallis Simpson in the 1930s. Then there's the fallout with her family, and that she's never introduced her father to his son-in-law or his grandson, and he was excluded in front of the whole world from their lavish wedding. They spent over 3 million taxpayer dollars renovating Frogmore Cottage when they already had a nice place to live at Kensington Palace. They had a falling out with beloved Prince William and Kate, and separated themselves from the charity they'd just started together to then go off and do their own thing. She and Harry criticize others for not caring about global warming issues while they fly by private jet all over the place, and throw more criticism out to others about poverty while they enjoy an extremely wealthy and priveledged lifestyle. To name just some of the issues. People don't like a lot of those things.

I read a lot of things about her including Comments to stories, and the fact that she's half black really does not seem to be an issue for the vast majority of people. Many people question the same thing that the pp here did, tbh. Personally, I'm fascinated with their story, but it is like watching a train wreck in a lot of ways. It without question has been another of the concerns of the Queen, because, as I've said, she is extremely cognizant and concerned about the way members of the RF present themselves to the public. Harry, as the son of the future King (Charles), is on the edge between being a minor royal, and a major royal (as I understand it as a casual observer). Andrew, a little less so.

The victims of human trafficking were young, with their whole lives ahead of them. No doubt being taken advantage of in this horrendous way at least in some way dimmed the light of their potentially bright futures.
What can be considered "sad" about Prince Andrew is not that he's finally being called out for his actions (that have been openly known for over a decade), rather that someone in his position and with his privilege would behave that way, THEN attempt to minimize and lie about what he's done. Unbecoming of his status as a royal, unbecoming as a military officer, unbecoming as a human being.
