Would welcome any feedback on Prime Time Cafe. We (husband and 4 and 6yo kids. We have dining plan. Wanted a break from the character meals that we have planned. CM suggested this restaurant. Will kids like it? How is the food? Any other suggestions on fun restaurants to break up the 4 character meals we have planned. Thanks!.

Our first time going there a few year ago was AWSOME!! Loved the food even my pickey kids liked it. Couldn't wait to go back, went 2 years ago food was still good, but the waiter wasn't as good as the first one which was a shame. Still planning on going again in Dec.
Columbia House near the Haunted Manison has great chicken fingers and fish sandwhiches. We used the $11 vouchers from hotwire and saved alot by eating there.

We have eaten there twice and went back the second time just for the food! It's very good, everything we've tried, and the portions are huge so easily split between two adults, which makes it a very affordable meal!

Depending upon waiter, you can have a very interactive exp there. Our second visit, we were very very tired and our waitress picked up on that quickly and just played with us a little bit.

The atmosphere is very fun, lots to look at, and interaction with other tables.

Sci Fi is also fun, and usually a hit with kids, since they sit in "cars" and watch a drive in movie. It's very dark in there, and not set up for conversation, but a nice break from the usual. Lunch is better, their burgers are the best thing they have. It's the best themed restaurant at WDW, IMO.

The food is good and interaction with the CM server can add to a fun dining experience.Sci-Fi was a hit with my grandsons 5yo and 7yo, I would say they prefered it to PTC.Grandpa & ma liked the food better at PTC better. We enjoyed both dining experiences and would return to either for a good time and meal. :goodvibes :flower: :sunny: :wizard:

We go every trip. The pot roast is super!

We go every time also. the kids love it. but your experience definitely depends on the wait staff. The kids love being asked about the color of the soap in the bathrooms. You won't be disappointed with the food and because this is your first time you won't have any other experiences to compare it with so it will be a good one.

PT is not our favorite restaurant. But I think it has become our favorite MGM restaurant. And when we want a fun evening I often choose here. Good home cooked meals. :)

We always enjoy the food and atmosphere at this restaurant. It is a lot of fun. The atmosphere is great at the Sci-Fi as well, but the food isn't as good as at 50's PT. DS (9) prefers Sci-Fi because he likes the flicks and the cars. DH & I prefer PT. princess: pirate: :earboy2:

I liked it alot, fun and different. DH thought it was ok but ds9 hated it. He was embarrased and hated the attention. He truly couldn't wait to get out of there.

Went to Prime Time for the first time last December. We will be back at WDW in June, during which my older daughter will turn 7. I asked here what park she wanted to be in on her birthday, and at what restaurant she wanted to have her birthday dinner... Answers: MGM, 50s Prime Time Cafe (well, she described it -- she didn't remember the name). I knew she liked it, but surprised that she liked it that much. Anyway, your kids should certainly enjoy it.

Yes! Make a PS for Prime Time! We loved it - and we all enjoyed the food. They had a good variety of homecooked types of meals.
