Got an email from DVC yesterday with a bunch of items on it....one of which was a note about contacting your guide for more information on the Copper Creek Villa's. I was wondering what you all thought the price would be? Seeing as how the Poly is going up to approx $176 on Jan 18.....do you think this will have bearing on the price for CCV? Usually when they launch a resort there is a "Deal" for existing members....would really love to be able to book here at 11 months....but the cost will likely be huge compared to what we paid for AKV in 2009.....

Historically they've opened at the same price with a discount for pre construction in the range of $15 per point IIRC. With VGF they simply opened it at the lower price at $15 a point lower rather than a higher price and a discount ($150 vs $165). I don't recall for Poly how they did it. Since it appears Poly sales are lagging, they might hold back on announcing and selling CCR, they've done that a time or 2 in the past it appears. So I'd figure roughly $160 a point though that might require a larger minimum purchase to get the lower price.

I thought 160 would be the range although I'm not sure why they would hold back sales.....if they sort of announced to call your guide for info.....it may be because it's just to put your name on a contact list....regardless I think a lot of people will be interested in that property.....I know I am!....lol.

The reason to potential delay sales is to let people buy Poly (and Aulani) rather than waiting on CCR. A couple of months of higher vs lower sales is a big difference in their world.

I think the discounts started at $5 and went up dependent on how many points you purchased. But VGF didn't have multiple discounts. These discounts only last a month or so for VGF and the Poly.

Question?? If I buy into the new CCV and cabins. I can't use my pts at VWL (yea I know) and they can't use their pts at CCV RIGHT. Where can you use your pts if you own CCV and Cabins??

You can use your points at CCV at the 11 month home resort window, or at any available resort (including VWL) at the 7 month window.

Just like any other resort. People are getting all confused because "they're on the same property," but it is no different than booking AKV if you own BLT.

It would be the same as any home resort. At 11-7 you would have the ability to book at Copper Creek and at 7 months at any of the DVC resorts.

Sorry ,I thought CCV was to be the first resort of a new tier of DVC resorts. My bad.

So I spoke with my Guide and he informed me that the email was just for informational purposes, to let the members know it is coming this year. As yet they have no details, such as release date, pricing, etc. As I thought he is making a list and will contact us once its available. My guide is very good at his job and has been with DVC for a long time, so I am sure his info is accurate. At the same time, as i suspected, the email was more or less to gauge interest IMHO......

We just bought CC two days ago while we were at SS Treehouses (which were amazing btw). We bought in at 250 points and got a discount of 4K as an incentive. I think the price per point was $176 before the discount.

So effectively $160/pt. I didn't think the discounts were going to go quite so big.
