Prices on UK site

Hi,

I am new to all of this so please excuse if I should have posted this in some other thread.

We are a family from Sweden (so excuse my english) looking to visit DW - Orlando in fall.
I noticed that the prices on WD UK page was much lower for October/November 2016 than on the US site. The UK site had "get 2 nights free" on most of the deluxe resorts and the total price for a weeks stay could differ as much as $500-1000 compared with the US.
But suddenly, just a few days ago, these discounted prices were gone from the UK site and the new prices were more in line with US site.

What happend? Why did these prices suddenly vanish?
Furthermore, do you know if it is common that the UK site can differ that much from the US prices?

I will keep scanning the UK page to see if something similar comes out again, but I am biting myself for not striking when these great prices were present.

Hello. I am from the UK and I find the prices vary between the UK and US sites at certain times of the year. Sometimes the UK is cheaper sometimes the US. I try both and see which is cheaper. The pattern I found is the quicker you book and the further in the future ( UK vacations can book further in the future in general ) the cheaper the deal. But as you get nearer the date sometimes the US site is cheaper. The UK ticket is cheaper but you have to be a UK resident. Basically like you have found grab the deal when you see it! I too have let ones slip through my fingers!

You say "The UK ticket is cheaper but you have to be a UK resident". My dad is from England originally so I have dual citizenship (UK/Sweden) and I have family in the UK. Would it be enough to give a UK address when booking resort/tickets?

I've seen reports of Canadizns with UK relatives doing this - using the UK relative's address. Check out the UK or Canadian forums under Global neighbours. Someone there should be able to give you some definitive answers.
