Two senior adults. Our next trip: May 2-12. Want to split into three hotels - 4 nights, 3 nights, 3 nights. ..off-site not a problem. (We LIKE moving :) I'm trying to get the best hotels for the least $. My husband can get the $129 gov. rate for the Dolphin, last 3 nights. I can get an AARP rate of $34 for Comfort Inn LBV for middle 3 nights. I'm thinking of trying Priceline for the first 4 nights, but I'm a bit nervous. I've been to betterbidding.com but wondering if there are any other helpful sites or any helpful hints on bidding.

Priceline is fun to bid for if you like playing with travel times and different hotels.

I'm not sure about bidding so far in advance as to what kind of selection you will get. I have found that the better deals seem to be when your certain dates get closer to the time you want to travel.

Be sure to read all of the BiddingForTravel instructions, including the free bids. They can really help you win a bid for the amount you want.

Take a look as to what the other bidders are getting for the location/dates/hotels that you might think you'd like. Then go to several of the hotels main websites and see what they are asking for during your travel time. This will help you to decide on a good starting price for bidding.

Have fun on your grand adventure!

Happy Trails!
