Priceline -- Sheraton Safari

I was all set to stay at the Sleep Inn on 192 in Kissimmee for my April trip and anther Dis board member suggested I try Priceline and even pm'ed some bidding tips. Well, I got the Sheraton Safari for $34/nt from April 5 to 11, 2003.



I was really hoping for the Sheraton Safari but figured I'd get the Hyatt Orlando, which I hear is nice but not the best hotel in the area. I also figured I'd have to bid closer to $40. I was so shocked, and still am, that it was accepted at $34/nt and I got what I was hoping for. Versus the rate at Sleep Inn, I am paying $40 less for the 6 six nights and I'm at a much nicer hotel.

Off to do my happy dance now!!

That's a great price! We're going June 24th-30th and got it for $38 a night. I've never been, but have heard nothing but good things.

I bid tonight for Jun 1st - 6th $24 + $10 bonus per night and also got this hotel . I was also hoping for this one but afraid I might get the Hyatt so we are very happy also.

I actually got the Hyatt for one night in May. I hear it gets mixed reviews. I hope it won't be too bad. I'll post a review when I get back.

Good news, and the Sheraton Safari has just a GREAT location.

Close to shops, restaurants, the Winn-Dixie grocery store and Goodings center.

Congratulations on your winning bid. I also bid on Priceline a few weeks ago hoping for this hotel or the Renaissance and received the Hotel Royal Plaza for $40. So I am still pleased with the results.

Hotel Royal Plaza has an even better location than Sharaton Safari! I think you did great too. We got the Sheraton for 1 night 7/6 before we check into a timeshare for $24 + $10 bonus. The standard rate for that night is $85 + tax. We got 2 rooms for less then the price of 1!
