first time bidding (yikes)... I only want LBV and I only want 4 stars or higher..... Is it possible i'd get for a monday night in september at less than $50?
I would say possible, not probable.
I PL'd a hotel and got one for $23 one time (2 star).
Flexibility is the biggest thing with PL. THe more flexible you can be, the better your price will be.
Go for it though...you don't get charged for trying.
For 60-65$, I always get the Hilton in Downtown Disney. I think there was one time, many years ago, that I got it in the $50.00 range but, I don't recall the details of it.

You can sometimes negotiate that with the hotel once you get it but not always. The room is "guaranteed" for 2 adults. You can also sometimes rent a rollaway at the hotel for another 10 bucks. PL is DEFINITELY the best way to get the lowest price for a hotel but you don't always get the things you need and once it's done, it's final.
My best PL experience was a 640 square foot room in Orlando for $23 dollars (the room would have fit 6 comfortably!)
Worst? 1 bed for 4 people (room was only $28)
Have to decide what is absolutely non-negotiable for you guys and go from there. Keep us posted Good luck!
