Hotwire wanted $137 in fees, I'll pass at this time.
Yes, the taxes will be charged no matter if you book from Disney or anywhere else and you don't see the taxes until at the checkout page of Disney, just like Hotwire. Plus if you use a coupon, such as from Retailmenot.com, you can bring it down another 7% and the fees become more negligible. Sometimes the fees make the deal not worth it from what Disney is offering - other times you can save quite a bit using Hotwire or Priceline. Always compare the final "check out" price and always use a coupon when using Hotwire or PL for lowest comparison rate. A few months ago I was clueless - but thanks to the kind and knowledgeable people on this board I've now booked twice, both at YC, and saved significantly. But it does take work and time - watching the sites - looking for a good coupon - comparing the best Disney promos, etc. Good luck!I agree it's Coronado. Not only is it 3.5* 4.3 rated, but if you look on Expedia, they're offering Coronado for $205 for those nights. That's only $1 off the "Expedia price" that Hotwire quotes.
$74 of the taxes and fees are taxes. You're not going to escape them by booking elsewhere.
See my reply to someone else earlier in the thread.Hi Everyone. Is this one Pop?

I keep getting taunted with a listing that the spreadsheet says is POFQ (April 24 - May 1). I know it's not true, but I would love to stay there! Anyway, here's a mystery coupon that must be used in the app. Extra savings of 4%, 7%, 14%, or 80% off.
I wish Hotwire would put out a decent Pop deal for my March dates. 11% is basically uselessFYI: I booked a Hotwire Hot deal last night for March 6-8 that was Yacht Club water view. Including taxes, fees, and with a promo code, it ended up being $357/night. That was more than $150/night cheaper than my AP discount.
In case you haven't noticed, right now the Pop deals run at about 43% off from March 1st - 21st, then Movies takes over at about 40% off.I wish Hotwire would put out a decent Pop deal for my March dates. 11% is basically useless

Ah, that stinks. If you look at the calendar I published a few days ago I found there was a gap for Pop for the nights of the 16th - 18th, plus the 15th had jumped up to to a HotRate of $160.Sadly, not for my dates. I can get a nice rate for CSR, but it’s too big and I can’t really eat any of the food there. I think Hotwire hates me![]()
I’ve done this twice in the last month and the reservations were easy to link.Has anyone recently had issues linking their Hotwire ressies to MDE? I currently have a passholder discount room for 2/21 to 2/26 at the Yacht Club. It looks like if I book through HW I can stay an additional night so 2/20 to 2/26 and only have to pay a $100 more from what I'm paying now directly through Disney. Very tempting. I used the draw tool so I would be shocked if it wasn't the Yacht Club on HW.
