Priceline Express Deals

Hmmm, when I got my emails there was a priceline confirmation number, but then a little further down in the email was a separate hotel confirmation (that's the one that worked in MDE). They may have changed what they send out since then though!

I tried that number every day since I booked 5 days ago and it never worked. When I called the hotel this morning they gave me a new number that was nothing even close to the number in the email.

That's what happened with my Wyndham reservation, I'm sure it has something to do with the hotel reservation systems, if it's anything like every company I've ever worked for some systems talk to each other and some...not so much lol

Do Swan and Dolphin pop on and off express deals usually, or once someone else books a deal are they gone? I saw a good rate for what I assume was Dolphin yesterday for our possible dates in April, but it's gone today We probably won't know definite dates until next week, any chance it'll pop back on there?

Yes it seems like they do come in and out frequently.

Good to hear! I’m pretty sure Swan is still on there for about $40 more/night, but we need a room for 5 & I’ve read the Swan’s max occupancy is 4 people. I’ll keep an eye on it!

I only got emails from PL after making the reservation. The confirmation # didn't work, the conf number in the email started with a 2. The number from calling the hotel directly started with an 8. Your best bet is to call them.

I have had the same situation before. Confirmation # was bad. Wholesale had to search my res by name and check in date, then assign a new confirmation number to it, which automatically showed up in mde

I just booked swan through hotwire for Jan 15-18 for $188. 4 star hot rate, 4.2 rating.

Looks like any booking with a start date after 3/1 draws 0 results; PLE or standard, through EOY. I'm not sure of the significance of this, but I do know room discount "book by" end date is 3/6. Thoughts?

I saw that too. Standard rooms aren't available either. I saw on another thread that there is talk of room discounts being released in the next couple days.
Hopefully this is the cause.

I’ve been getting the same message when I try to click on HW HR deals. The “page can no longer be found.” I hope they fix/update the site soon. Not that I have an upcoming trip to plan or anything... For some reason I just enjoy looking at the deals and the challenge of figuring out what they are. I’ve been telling friends that deciphering these hotel site deals is my new hobby for 2020.

All right new question of the day, I had pop century already booked and received magic bands for my jan 15th trip. I just booked the swan on hotwire so I need to cancel the pop reservation. What happens with the magic bands? I paid the $10 upgrade to get different designs for the 2 magic bands. I separately bought 1 annual pass and also bought 1 4 day park hopper from undercover tourist. I want to keep the magic bands for this trip and my AP.
My new reservation isn't linked to MDE yet. Of course when I click the cancel reservation link it wants me to wait 30 minutes.

Edit, after waiting through the 30 minutes I was able to just click cancel on my reservation. It was pretty much no questions asked. It looks like no issue with magic bands.
Also, I just linked in my hotwire reservation to MDE, but again I had to call in. The numbers in the email from hotwire weren't working for the reservation I made last night on MDE. The guest services gave me the number and I was able to add it in.

What dates are you looking at? FWIW that AP holder price I was seeing for days I was interested in when I was booking earlier this week were almost the same price as the priceline exp price.

2/25-3/1. Plus I found 7% additional discount. I couldn't get any 10% offs to work. RetailMeNot had 7%. I wasn't seeing any availability under the passholder discount for BC to compare with.

I don't see any 4 stars on PL right now for those days, did you already book it.
I was able to get a 10% off coupon for PL by signing up for emails with a different email address. You can also get 5% back with Ebates too, but they don't give cashback on tax.
