Help, I am very green in the area of airline tickets. I am wondering if anyone has purchased AIRLINE tickets from priceline.com. I have read post on rental cars/hotels.
If you have did you do the name your own price? If so how low did you go? I am looking at a ticket price they give for $206 , I I do the name your own price how much should I bid?

A few things to consider. You have no recourse if you don't like the flights.. So you can have a really late night flight or a flight at the crack of dawn. For example if you are going to Orlando on 1/10 and returning on 1/13, it would be easy to get the 1/10 at 10 pm and the 1/13 at 6 am.... effectively cutting two days off. You also have no gurantee of a direct flight etc.

Also, I would not do this unless I was getting a REAL bargin so AIM low. When you get the screen that says "your bid is too low" just click the continue button. Who cares if they think it's too low LOL! On hotels about 50% of the time I get the hotel even after having been told that "your bid is too low"

You might try www.biddingfortravel.com . Look for the airline bid section and read up on bids from your area.

Personally, I don't think the airlines are going to accept really low bids.. They are practially giving away seats now. The fares I read about on here are amazingly low.
