We have 10 day no expire tix that we purchased several years ago. We haven't used them yet. We are going in a few months. We would like to upgrade them to No Expire Park Hopper plus Water parks, as we will be spreading these out over at least 3 trips. Any idea how much that will be (adult and child)? My understanding is that it's best to use them 1 day, and then upgrade within 14 days. Thanks!

Word is that Disney is about to discontinue selling no-expiration tickets. So I would assume that would mean no upgrades too.

We've read the same thing. We are wondering if we have no expiration tickets and want to upgrade to AP's how will the cost be bridged. I understand they will bridge using the current price at WDW. But, what if they no longer have the no expiration tickets.

It will cost whatever it costs to add hopping and WP&M - I'm thinking it's something like $80.

As far as Disney discontinuing no-expiration tickets goes, I'll believe it when I see it.

In order to upgrade the tickets, you need to be at the parks. Most recent news is that ticket prices are going up in February and as part of the change, no expiration will no longer be sold. As such, unless you plan to be there before the price change takes effect (and from your question, you will not), you will not be able to upgrade. The cost is around $78/ticket from my calculations. Basically, you would need to research the difference between what you paid for the tickets and what it costs for the same ticket with NE. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The rumor of the non expiring tickets has been around for a while, but this one sounds more realistic. All signage and NE promotion was eliminated, but you were still allowed to purchase if you "knew" they existed. Now it looks like they are eliminating them altogether.

That is not a "given" even if they no longer sell new NE tickets.

Thanks for the info. Not a deal breaker, as we usually don't park hop anyway. Just would be cost effective for the water park option if it was less than $100. We purchased for around $500 each, so that doesn't sound like a good option anyway as current price is over $760 ea now. I appreciate everyone's help.

But if you use the ticket first, they will bridge the price. The cost will be well under $100.

That is correct, but why would they allow a ticket to be upgraded if the option to purchase did not exist? That would only force people to buy the tickets and then upgrade when they got to the park. Not really eliminating the NE that way or changing the structure of the tickets.

If I came across like I was stating a fact. I apologize. I was just trying to think rationally.

As Disney does not quote NE tickets, I am using the prices from a 3rd party site. It shows:

10 day NE: $710.68
10 day PH, WP& More NE: $758.14

That would mean $47.46 per ticket to upgrade based on that pricing. It may be slightly different based on the actual Disney prices. Not sure if that changes your decision based on cost. My original $78 I did read the wrong line. Still not sure if upgrading will be possible in a few months. We need a ticket CM on these boards with some insider info.:goodvibes

The "everything about WDW tickets" sticky at the top of this forum has all theins and outs about upgrading and prices bridging existing tickets. I could only spoke ulate on how that would be affected by any decision to stop selling the no expire option, but I know that long in the past I have upgraded a no-longer-sold type of ticket, so it's not impossible to think it can still be done.
