I was thinking of buying Mickey before we went to the parks so DS can "hear him talk" for awhile before we go. I have been watching Ebay and have seen a few listed for $60-$65.00 (but now). If I remember correctly you can buy them in the park for $60.00. Is that correct? I have tried bidding on a few but they always seem to go for more than $60. Am I getting my prices messed up and $60 is a GOOD price? Thank you for an info in advance.

This is one of those situations when it pays to be educated about what you are buying. Yes, they are $60 in the parks. Plus you wouldn't be paying shipping.

All Mickey does out of the parks is tell jokes and play a couple of games. He is fun, but personally I would wait for him until I got there.

i don't really have any advise for you. However, we did buy one off ebay in dec. but the reason for that was we were going in Jan. and my DH wanted to give it to me for xmas since all i wanted for xmas were things for the trip. We thought this would work as a gift but also then one less thing to budget for in the parks. Instead of him buying me something else for $50.00 that i just didn't want!

We bought it for $45-$50 plus shipping. so it was cheaper then you are seeing them for now but it wasn't much of a deal with shipping added!

Ours worked just fine no problems with it. I played with it for a month before the trip. And then on the trip it worked in the parks for the 1st 4 days. After that it started acting really weird and saying things about epcot while we were in MK. So we took it to be looked at just thinking maybe batteries or something else but they didn't even look at it at all they just opened another and handed it to us! My DH was the one that did this while we were on a ride and he was very shocked he didn't think they would just replace it like that but they did. We were on our last day in the park and didn't really use it much after that.

P.S. I found pal mickey got on my nerves!! however my DD 13 loved it!

You can also get a discount if you buy them at the World of Disney! If you are an AP holder that is.

Thank you all for the info. We do have AP so I think I will keep searching Ebay for a good deal. If I don't find one I will go to World of Disney and buy one there. I think the kids will get a big kick out of it (hubby will too!) Thanks again for the info.

I just sold mine on ebay for $51. I got him when DVC members got a discount and before they raised the price, so I think I paid $45 for it. I took Mickey back home to WDW on two trips and it got to where nobody wanted to carry him around, so he was fair game for eBay. I think the new ones are going for $60+, mine was without the box but I did have instructions. He was still in great shape too as he mostly sat in the room on the two trips and I put him up in between trips.
