Price of Buffet Meals

So, I'm trying to decide if the DDP is a good deal for us this trip and I have run into a problem. After reading some other posts here, I understand that the prices listed on Allears or WDWinfo are not necessarily what I will pay when I visit in October. I am right at the make or break point for DDP, so, depending on the actual price of the buffets (and how much more is charged during peak periods), it could make a difference in my choice (free dining sure would make it easier!). Does anyone have a good way to find out (or REALLY close guess) what the actual price will be when I go in October?

I'm pretty sure that peak pricing is only during the summer months and then there is holiday pricing during Thanksgiving and Christmas, so you SHOULD be okay. I also think that when peak/holiday pricing is in effect, the DDP price also goes up.

If you plan on doing a lot of buffet dinners (and any meal at Akershus), your better off getting the DDP. We find that the buffet dinners are so rediculously priced for the quality of food you get that it doesn't really pay to pay for them OOP anymore. If you are planning on doing more buffet breakfasts or lunches and plan on having CS for dinner, it will probably work out less expensive to pay OOP.

Here is my thread where I have surcharge seasons listed, with prices of most character buffets. There is no surcharge period during October:

Prices are raised during surcharge period to reflect an increase of $4.00/adult and $2.00/child per meal plus tax. You will not see surcharge price listed, as Disney just reprints menus and signs throughout the year to reflect that current price.
