Heading to WDW with a big family group in November. I have a couple questions concerning park ticket price increases. Is it usually around February or March that Disney puts out the price increases. What is the usual increase over the year before. Is there any kind of time frame I have to activate a ticket, example being if I buy 5 tickets and the fifth person decides they can't go how long do I have to activate the ticket before it expires,or is there no expiration date until it is activated. I will be buying my tickets through AAA without the no expiration option.I usually don't worry about tickets this far out but with a large group of us going the savings could add up.

Expiration begins when you use it. 14 days for tickets. Annual passes 1 yr from date you use it unless it was a special purchase like a DVC offer, etc. Do some research on the subject because things do change. Basically, your 5th ticket could be used on the next trip to WDW.

Price increases have varied. Has been Feb., has been Aug. or both. Usually you get about a 1-2 day notice and/or discount brokers such as Undercover Tourist work through their inventory at the old price for a few extra days.

Will you go more than once in a years time. We saved a significant amount of money on our accommodations buying two annual passes!

Disney has been much less predictable on this in the past few years. Usually if you follow the boards you'll get a heads up by a day or two but there was a surprised increase last fall that had no warning at all and it followed on an increase last Feb. The one thing is that they have done annual increases, even during down economic times so it's virtually a certainty there will be one prior to a Nov trip.

As was mentioned - any regular ticket you buy will not expire and can be used for a trip another year.

Not really unless you are speaking of the increased cost as in per day increase. And it varies a bit by ticket.

Yes, for one day. If you buy multi-day tickets, it is a lot less expensive per ticket. For MK it is currently $105, and the other three are $97.

Have you priced tickets on UTourist and AAA? Is AAA better?

I just bought my tickets today from AAA and the savings was about 4 and half percent. Not sure what U Tourist discount is. Bought my tickets today because of rumored price increase and different tier pricing on Sunday 02/28

Nothing about price increases for multiple day which is rumored to be also happening tomorrow.

I read today that THIS particular price increase is only on single day tix, not multi-day or AP's.

I read the following sentence from the blog post to mean increases on multi day tickets

"Seasonal pricing for a 1-Day ticket and price increases for multi-day tickets go into effect at Disney Parks on Sunday, Feb. 28."
