Hi I just went in and priced up our Dec 2010 holiday on the WDW UK site, and it is £520 higher than the 2009 quote! :scared1:- does that seem too much of an increase to you???:confused3:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Ours was loads more than that.
2 reasons for ours,
1 they are not offering the 42% off OKW(yet) for next year,
2 this years prices were worked on last years exchange rate $2/$1, next years are worked on exchange now, under $1.50/£1
We will be offsite again next year unless a great offer comes up.

I was hoping you'd reply Wayne!!:thumbsup2

We are definitely going to stay on-site (we just love it and as I've said before this is a one off trip for us as we'll never get to go at Christmas again;)) so..

as we are definitely not going to change our minds about where we are staying, do you think we should just book it now or would you hang on to see if the prices go down (is that even a possibility)???:confused3

thanks for any help!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Its not possible to know what to do now.
If you book on .co.uk and a better offer comes out you will be able to alter for a fee so not so bad, but what if exchange rate greatly improves(fingers crossed) then .com could be they best way to go then you would lose your deposit of £50pp still not massive if the savings are there.
I booked OKW last year with £50pp deposit hoping for better exchange so we could cancel, lose £150 and get a better deal offsite but its not going to happen now, took best option booking with .co.uk
Good luck deciding.

Prices have rocketed, we have priced several holidays. the equivalent holiday we took last july is £1000 more this year! (With the same company) They will not deal or give any major discounts.

thank you both!!:lovestruc

I expect I will book, just knowing I CAN book and haven't is killing me!!:lmao:

I KNOW it's not going to sell out (especially not at these prices!!:rotfl:) but I can't resist having it all done and knowing I am definitely going!!:rotfl2:

thanks again!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

does anyone know roughly how long I would have to wait for the US site prices to be released to make a comparison?? - is it August or have I made that up!!:lmao:

I would definitely wait. The quote is roughly double what we have paid for this year. There are bound to be deals which haven't yet gone up.

I absolutely understand that temptation to just book and feel good about it being done and dusted, but I do think you should hold off for a good bit yet.

For our trip next week we decided to go and then booked in February. I never found any problems in getting exactly what we wanted and that was only 2 months ago.

I know! - thats what I need to keep telling myself!! Its REALLY hard though!!:rotfl: - I will wait, I will wait, I will wait!!:rotfl:

have a great trip next week - lucky you!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Amy, I think you are right and that the US prices come out in August! I seem to remember they were released a couple of weeks before our free dining offer.

I had also thought the UK prices were out a a similar time due to the dining plan pricing but I may have been dreaming that!!

I'm looking at early Dec 2010 for our wedding and cant see much of a rise (slighly as expected), maybe they have only gone up at certain times of the year - or is it the ticket prices bumping them up? (we will have an annual pass)

Yes, it's usually August. :goodvibes

thank you both - I thought I'd heard it was August but wasn't sure!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

My price worked about £550 more expensive for 2010, using the same dates as 2009 - I didn't have park tickets, just hotels - It does seem as though the Beach Club prices have risen more sharply than the Poly (although I don't think the Poly could get much higher!!!:scared1::rotfl:)

My problem is that I don't want to compromise on what I want, so I guess I am going to go ahead and book and then cancel and rebook if a really great offer comes along later on!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
