Price Increase for Fireworks Cruises

After several times on hold and several mis quotes I have finally spoken to a supervisor and as of OCT 1 there is a significant price increase on the fireworks cruises, I posted the info I got on the Illuminations Sticky

Yes Connors' dad is right the prices have increased for cruises starting 10/1 I have spent almost 2 hours on the phone thismorning trying to figure this out. I am just so glad I asked because they did not offer any pricing when I booked until I asked. I have finally talked to a supervisor and this is what I've got. Pontoon basic--187.79+tax--includes boat, driver, music of fireworks show, water, coke, diet coke, sprite, and bagged snacks (chips, pretzels, popcorn) Pontoon celebration--211.26--includes all above plus decorations (banner, balloons) NO CAKE....the previous celebration cruises included cake. If you want additional items they must be set up throught the dinning services of the marina you are leaving from--things like cake, alcohol ,pizza, and other items The package with nothing but boat and driver is no longer avail..... I figure these have got to be some really fancy chips for a $47 price increase

Do yoyu know, is this only for the fireworks cruise at MK or was EPCOT included also?

I am also interested in if it is for EPCOT also. Without having more people for sure to share with I do not know if this will be something I am willing to reserve for just my 4 adults and 1 child.

I believe it's only MK cruises cause I booked an Oct EPCOT cruise for less than that.

I have an Illuminations cruise booked for Oct 2nd and my price with tax is 234 something. I think it is the special one but I didn't ask for decorations or anything. He said I would get snacks and pop and sandwiches. He said just the boat and driver wasn't avail anymore.

Hubby booked it for us and he said they didn't give him a price because they are subject to change. I called later that day to find out what the price was and that is what I was told - 234 which is with tax.

daisylove--don't forget the DIs thread on sharing the Illuminations cruises. When you get one/or if you need one, you just check the board (and post to it if you need to) to find others to share with you.

I was told this is for bothe wishes and illuminations. This is a new thing that is only in effect starting cruised oct1 and after. Be warned I was origionally quoted the wrong price this am so verify everything. The 234 including the tax is the celebration cruise with decorations and sandwiches were not mentioned as included so I would check on that. The basic ends up being 200 with tax.

Just got off the phone, spoke to a wondeful CM. He read through all his information and gave me the whole rundown.

He said, and this one actually took me by surprise, that there are 2 boats only now going to Illuminations. 3 if you include the breathless. These are the larger boats. Maybe this is new starting October 1st with the price change. If this is accurate it will be super hard to get a cruise now with only 2 available.

They don't offer a base cruise anymore without food. Its kind of a one price fits all type thing

If you want to see fireworks at the Magic Kingdom the price is 187.79 for up to 8 people (because they have the smaller boats, he didn't say how many go over there) and includes popcorn, pretzles, chips, water and soda - including coke, diet coke and sprite, your driver, music and of course the boat.

The next one is the base cruise at Illuminations, again only 2 pontoons and the breathless. This is 234.73 and includes the driver, boat, music and snacks mentioned above.

The next level is the celebration cruise with the the above and decorations, this runs 258.21.

See this is where everything is so confusing. I was givent the 258 price this AM and then when I talked to the supervisor she told me she had no idea where this price came from that the celebration cruise is 211something plus tax. This was for wishes not illuminations although she said pricing was the same. They need to get their stories straight over there. I would think that maybe it is a case of the pricing being different based on where you cruise is. I am sorry if I am passing out incorrect info, I am just repeating what I was told. All I know for sure is that the price is higher and we are supposedly booked for something

So basically the cheapest Illuminations Cruise is now $234? Ugh! Glad I've already done it! That is $100 more than I paid! I guess we won't be doing it again in Oct!

I remember buying the Illuminations cruise for my sister and I only and then I sold the rest of the seat here on the DIS forums. It was great and we got to meet some nice people. It ended up being fairly cheap once everyone paid up.

Well I booked breathless yesterday for $179 for EPCOT. No food or drink is allowed on that boat.

Poop. This is really annoying because I just called this afternoon to check on the 10-total vs. 12-total w/ max 10 adults thing because when I first made the reservation, the CM told me that it held up to 10 people. When I called today, the CM told me 10-total at first and then I specifically asked about the 12/10 scenario so she read some more.....and told me there were two different cruises....but it sounded like the one with the 10 person max included the refreshments and the other one did indeed hold 12 total/10 max adults. And I was very explicit about making sure that's what I had booked and that the price was $150 including the tax. I guess I'll be calling back tomorrow!

So what is the difference in Breathless and the other Ill. cruises? Is Breathless cheaper?? Hold less people??
