Ok, I just noticed that CRT is increasing there prices starting in Nov for prime travel next year? I have been on the fence about booking here for some time b/c I have heard such mixed things and the price etc.. :confused3

So now with another price increase is it really worth it? It seems you are really paying for the "experience" and the photo package? Is Norways Princess meal just as good? What do you all think?~TIA:goodvibes

The price will increase in general but then it will increase even more during the 'holiday season'!! :sad2:

Cinderella's Castle Character Meal Price Increases:

Effective November 11, 2007 (regular price increase):
Breakfast A - $32.99; C - $22.99
Lunch A- $35.99; C - $23.99
Dinner A - $40.99; C - $25.99

Holiday pricing in effect November 18-24 and December 16 thru Jan 5:
Breakfast A - $36.99; C - $24.99
Lunch A - $39.99; C - $25.99
Dinner A - $44.99; C - $27.99

We've eaten at both the castle and at the Epcot Norway princess meal. I really liked both of them- Akershuus has a nice atmosphere- but of course can't beat the castle in that regard. The food I thought was good in both places - I really loved the Akershuus cold salad bar however. But the castle is really a fun (albeit overpriced) experience- mostly because of where you are. For the price though- lunch seems like a slightly better deal- paying over $30 for some eggs and breakfast stuff seems a little extreme to me.

Since we'll be on the DDP next year- I thought of paying out of pocket since it takes up 2 TS credits. My girls 4 and 7 are really lobbying for the castle though- I think more for the castle experience than the princesses (sadly, my 7 year old isn't too into princess stuff anymore). But I agree with you the prices are pretty high so I'm on the fence as well!

oops sorry about not adding the price. I read it at all ears... I believe the holiday increase is also for summer travel as well.. It just seems like ALOT of $$ for what it is and have heard the food isn't even that good?

. . . It just seems like ALOT of $$ for what it is . . .

1) But, where else can you get a picture, eggs and a cheap plastic wand?
2) And, all for onlly $33 or $37?
3) Maybe the eggs are from special chickens not available anywhere else.

After eating there for Breakfast this past vacation I think we've had our fill of it. It was okay, but way overpriced, crowded and rushed to spend that much money on.

We've only eaten at CRT once. We had breakfast there several years ago. It was okay, but pricey, even then. To me, it's all about the experience of dining in the castle though. My DH & DS couldn't care less, but I'm planning to return for the atmosphere. Every girl likes feeling like a Princess occasionally, even older girls. ;) We'll go for breakfast again, because we enjoy nicer, relaxing meals for dinner. FWIW, we've also been to PSB. No complaints, but the atmosphere doesn't live up to dining in Cindy's castle.

CRT was one of our favorite places for dinner, until they changed it to be a limited menu. We won't go back now, but we do enjoy breakfast at PSB.

If they didn't think they'd get people to pay the price, they wouldn't increase it. If it doesn't work out for them (people go elsewhere), they won't do it again.

I personally believe that the allure of the castle is such that they'll fill it up even with the price increase. The food isn't all that great but they're not going for the food.

:headache: I am glad I will be there in October BEFORE the price increase not that it isn't pretty outrageous for breakfast as it is. But with having a girl, we gotta experience it once. At least thats what I am telling myself anyway. LOL. I don't think it will be a place that we frequent on every visit though.
