Price goes up AFTER you sign! What would you do?

Hi All,

My future wife and I have had our wedding date set and planning kit sent to our planner for a September 06 cruise wedding since Sept/Oct. Disney contacted us this past week indicating that there is a new "planning kit" and everything is the same except for the price of the photography and would we please select a new package. Problem is that the package we had signed up for (Ruby) was $699 and is now $899. This really infuriates me as I think this is a breach of contract by raising prices after the fact. I guess I can also just decide when I am good and ready to pay and the 90 days is just a guideline. :furious:

I know they 'hold all the cards', but what would you do?

Regs,

Call Disney, and tell them about the discrepancy. My guess is they will honor the original quoted price.

Disney changes the price of things about once a year (at least, sometimes more often)...and I'm sure there are people who are "caught" in the middle.

I really believe Disney will do right by you, if you give them the chance.

I know in my custom wedding contract it stated that Disney could not confirm pricing until 6 months from your wedding date. I dont know if the intimate/cruise wedding contracts state anything to that effect.

It is a 6 month guarantee. I got hit with the same thing. I know it is infuriating, but there is nothing that you can really do about it. I sent over the information where I was quoted the price, and they referred me back to the contract.
