I can't remember the exact time we got there, but it was after lunch. The canoeing is first followed by 30 to 45 minutes to explore the castle and gift shop. This was one of the places we felt a little bit rushed on the trip, but you should be able to make your meet-up.

I was on same trip as Calfan and don't remember exactly either. I want to say it was at least an hour after the canoes (we waited around in the gift store a little while for the introductory movie to start and then had some time (30-45 min?) to explore before hiking back up the hill to meet up with the group. I think the people who just did the boat ride had more time. BUT the canoes were one of the highlights for me though, so I definitely wouldn't suggest missing them.

The hard thing about meeting up with someone on a trip like this is that your time is very scheduled and yet somewhat fluid. IOW, different Scotland ABD trips might end up places at slightly different times and the time will be adjusted accordingly, so it's hard to plan around. You could call ABD and they might tell you an approximate time, but it won't be carved in stone. If at all possible, I would think about having your ring makers try to meet you in Inverness?

I'd suggest arranging to call them when you are there, because there are just too many variables. The order of the day could get switched, you could get there late, all sorts of things.
