Pretzels?

Hi, this may seem a silly question but I've never tried the pretzels the last 3 times in WDW and since trying the most gorgeous one over here in the UK, I was wondering if they are the same or not? The ones over here are lovely and soft, like a donut. I got the impression the ones in WDW are hard??

What do they actually taste like and are there different flavours? Cheers

yep you are right..the WDW ones are harder and I am not so keep. Have you tried Auntie Annies ones in Orlando, now they really are scrummy, expecially the garlic ones. Mind you everybody will keep their distance after you have eaten it! Auntie Annies ones are the really soft ones...they come in lots of flavours and I want one NOW You can get them in all the Malls including the outlets...

Noooo I haven't tried any out there - I had assumed they were kind of like big breadsticks!! I ADORE garlic so they sound yummy We will be visiting various malls as usual so I'll have to track Auntie Annies down for sure. Thanks for that (I'm also drooling at the thought now....)

The pretzels aren't really hard and here we actually call them soft pretzels to differentiate them from true hard crunchy pretzels.

The big difference between them and say soft bread sticks (more like bread) is that they are soaked for a bit in alkaline water which changes their surface.

I bought a hot cinnamon pretzel from the small Wetzels Pretzels counter, next to the band stage in Downtown Disney. It was very soft and like a Churro flavoured doughnut - I would definitely buy those again

ditto all of the above... plus the AK has a jalapeno cheese filled pretzel that my teens would kill for!!
