In less than 30 days, I will be returning to WDW for the 2nd time this year. However, this trip is very special as it will be DH and me only! Our very first trip to WDW was in 1982. We were so very young and innocent then... but so was WDW. It was the MK only. Of course we stayed off site because we didn't know any better at the time. Although we have made about 8 or 9 more trips to WDW, 1982 was the only time we didn't have children with us. However, our oldest son was conceived on that trip. Oh how he hates when we tell him that. On one return visit, we did point out the hotel where he began.
During our most recent trip, March 2004, my nephew (age 9) & I went to WDW and my DH attended a conference in Orlando. We had fun in the evenings, but DH felt he missed out on a lot, hence the return visit this year.
I am really trying to allow this trip to be somewhat spontaneous. I only have two PS scheduled. I am looking forward to just doing what we want when we want to. That should be a nice change of pace from the usual commando style. We may not get to eat exactly at the time we want, but knowing WDW like we do, there are always alternatives.
I really can't think of a more wonderful place for a couple to reconnect. Looking forward to posting the actual trip report about mid-November.
