Myspace is not bad!!! You can set privacy settings there just as they do on Facebook. My best friends little step sister has a myspace account, and even tho I have hung with her on many occasions and when we get together as a group she clings to me, I honestly do not know how to spell her last name or know her email address, so I am not connected to her on myspace.

Her profile is completely private. You might see their default pic and their lil status message but that's it!!

We have a page called Kid Links. It's all the sites the kids at school are allowed to go on during their free computer time. An all time favorite is Club Penguin. It's lots of games, socializing and decorating your "room". It is free or you can pay ($4, I think) to have access to more clothes and furniture for your penguin. You will have to activate it through your email account.

Also in case anyone is intrested in a free online "babysitter', try BlueCoat K9 Web Protection. We were paying for Net Nanny and a friend told me about this site. It's free and works every bit as good as NN.

I agree, I don't see how myspace and facebook are any different, there are privacy settings for myspace just like facebook. I have DD's account set up so she has to accept you as a friend for anyone to see her page.
