My M & M holder has room for money to make 20 pressed pennies. So - 40 quarters and 20 pennies.

I also filled one tube with just quarters since there are also Quarter presss machines & places for pressed quarters provided in the disney pressed penny books. I think it is 1.25 to press a quarter & that is still a cheep souviner by disney standards
Side note: A show about Disney just came on the History channel at 8:00Am est 3/27/2008
I just turned on History channel after reading this! It's half way over but it's great! I love ANY thing Disney! I have io cable and watch the Disney Travel on Demand videos all the time just to get a quick fix!Mental note: need to go to the bank and pick up a roll of shiny new pennies!!

If you don't want quite the mess of ketchup, try a solution of salt and vinegar. The mild acid in vinegar combined with the salt work wonders with removing the oxidation off old pennies. (This is why ketchup works - it contains both salt and vinegar) I just find that the ketchup makes a much bigger mess.
Most shops have a Disney book that has slots to hold the pennies (usually on the counter near the register). It is a nice keepsake. My boys each have one.
The books now hold 64 pennies? I'll need to get a new one. The last one I bought has "Happiest Celebration on Earth" on it and holds 36 pennies and 6 quarters. It was $6.50.
Does anyone know if there are still quarter books?
It is wider than the see-through pocket. I LOVE pressed pennies! We try to get the ones with Mickey in different costumes or settings. However, I read somewhere that pennies minted after 1982 have more zinc than earlier pennies and when those pennies are pressed, they get kind of dark and grungy looking. I've tried to use 1970's or earlier pennies for pressing. Anybody know if that zinc story is true? Thanks!
We have a few of my empty diabetes test strip containers full of (sequential) 2 quarters, 1 penny coins to use on our 2008 trip and they are once again a mixed lot of old and new!
Does anyone happen to know how much the penny books cost? My husband makes a point of bringing back pressed pennies and books for my DS when he goes to conferences in various places. I know DS would love to pick up a penny book at WDW when we go.
He's going to have such a hard time choosing which pennies to get while we are there.
Pin trading and Pennies keep my kids busy for hours in the parks! It's like one giant treasure hunt! We love it!
