You mean the pressed pennies machines as in the US parks?
The Paris ones are different. You pay 2 Euros and then get a gold colored coin back, kind of like the chocolate coins. Very big in size. Nothing at all like the pressed penny medals though.
I prefer the coins you get at DLP to the pressed pennies at the US parks. We've got various ones for BTM, PoTC, Main Street and one with the date on for every year we visited between 2005 - 2008.
It will be a nice little souvenir. I love that the date is on it. My favorite was the doubloon machine just inside the gift shop at the exit of PoC at Disneyland in California. You could stamp whatever you wanted to say into the coin. I have them throughout the years with my kids ages and the date on them. But unfortunately the machine got old and had maintenance issues so they took it away.
What a shame! I'm going to Disneyland this summer and was just about to write it down in my little notebook when I read that it'd been taken away. Rats!!
