Planning our first trip ever to DLR with DH, DS(7) and DS(10). We must go during school break so are considering these. Which is the least busiest? Any other key differences to consider for these dates? Thank you for your suggestions!
The end of June might be busier but in California you'll get better weather. In January it rains a little too much for me and its cool in January. Spring Break might be cool too, but California doesn't have hot summers, so I prefer that time of year. In my experience Disneyland is always busy. I went in 2002 in late February and it was crowded.
Last year late June saw a HUMONGOUS amount of crowds. Spring Break has always been a crowded time. Out of the three, President's week is probably the least crowded. However, it is the one "major holiday week" where hours are not as long, some rides are closed, and entertainment doesn't run nightly. Both Spring Break and late June will have very long park hours, all rides should be open (unless there's one going down for a very extended period of time), and all entertainment should be happening every day.
Also, if you are considering dates for 2010, keep in mind that DCA's new World of Color show (nighttime water/light spectacular) is set to premiere in "Spring 2010". That means it probably won't be running during President's Week. You have a chance that it will be running during Spring Break. It will definitely be running by June.
