Presidents week or Easter week

If you had to go one or the other would you choose the Feb. school break or Easter?

Which would you do if you couldn't take kids out of school and don't want the summer heat?

President's is historically busy, but Easter is generally worse.

Presidents week catches everyone by surprise. It's not considered a celebratory or religious holiday so folks believe it a great opportunity to go to WDW thinking crowds will not be big but they are. And South America comes in full force, it's summertime down there during our winter. I think it's ?Brazil that makes a majority of the visitors from S. America.

Haven't been in 7 years, but have always gone during President's week. A lot of Northeast states have vacation that week. I believe both NY and Mass. It was always busy but never felt too crowded. But like I said, that was 7 years ago.

We went over Presidents weekend last year. We were there the whole week before until the day after Pres. day. It got crowded but nothing we felt was ridiculous so I'd do it again.

Haven't been around Easter - yet. Considered it this year but decided on Aug. & Nov. instead :) But from what I've read here it does seem to get much more crowded around Easter than Pres. day.

Except this year (2015) there is a convergence of President's Week and Mardi Gras at the same time which will definitely bump up the crowds. This happened in 2007 when we were there, we really felt the crowds jumping exponentially as we approached President's Week. We did try to factor in an increase in crowds for the end of our trip in our plans, and thought we were prepared, but even though I use to pride myself as a planner, those days just before President's Week were overwhelming. Forewarned is forearmed! :)

Yes, forgot about this! I believe it happened in 2013, also. Definitely something to check beforehand if you ever plan on trying Presidents week.

We went last year Presidents week and other than Presidents day itself, it was remarkably uncrowded. And we lucked out with weather with mid- 70s and sunny. We spent plenty of times in the pools

This! We were also there the same week last year and are going again this year. I was expecting a lot worse than we had for crowds. Don't get me wrong, there were plenty of people and crowds, but planning our FP+'s and doing RD made it very manageable. Obviously not bad since we are going again. Although, apparently folks are saying it will be worse this year with Mardi Gras falling the same week...

For those wondering madi gras does not fall during presidents week in either 2016 or 2017

When is president week
and which weeks are the easter ones this year

We go every year during President's Week, and last year was our best trip ever due to FP+. It's always really busy, but I felt like people were a little more calm--possibly due to having guaranteed rides? Leaving next Saturday!

We are headed to Disney for President's week this year and I'm not too concerned about crowds. Even with Mardi Gras and the Daytona 500 being the same week. For starters, most race fans will be in Daytona all week for pre-race activities and visit Disney afterwards and Mardi Gras isn't that big of a deal at Disney even though a few schools are out that week for the holiday. We've been during several crowded times at Disney and Christmas has been by far the most crowded. Can't even walk comfortably through a crowd during the holiday season! But at the end of the day, if you've planned accordingly, and are passionate about Disney like so many of us are, then just go and have a good time! It's truly a magical place.
