We have been to WDW twice with our 2 DS. Both times we went the first week in December. Fabulous time to go, but a week out of school...ouch ;)

Question is this: Has anyone braved President's Day Weekend? What do you think?

My youngest has his birthday February 15th (the Sunday of that weekend) and our school has a break the Thursday and Friday before. I am conspiring to plan a 'Disney Birthday' trip, but don't know...

Advice? Tips? 'Been there...done that'?

Well, I'll see you there!

The most busy time is typically Christmas. The second is President's Week...but summer may also be tied to this. Don't worry, we're strong, we can handle it! We're going to have a GREAT time and meet lots of new people (as we wait in lines)!:smooth:

We went Feb. 16 - Feb. 19 2002 for my brother's school trip. I have gone during the summer months, in November and also in January and Feb. was by far the worst! The lines were all between 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. Fastpasses were gone for the day be noon. We spent the day at MGM and were only able to do three rides and eat lunch. Fastpasses for Tower of Terror were gone and we waited close to 2 hours to get on. On the upside the parks were open late and there were a lot of parades, shows, etc. However we still had fun...after all it is Disney!

We were there this past February from

Thurs-Mon and we didn't find the crowds unbearable at all. But, we don't spend the entire day in the park either.

We went to MK on that Sunday and didn't find it very busy. Plenty of FPs available.

The only sign of it being a busy weekend was on Friday night. There were no PS available at all in EPCOT nor were walk-ups being accepted. I'm sure this was also due to it being Valentine's Day so many locals also may have dined at these restaurants too.

I understand the week during President's day can be busier since many people leave that weekend to go to WDW for the week. If you go at this time just try to make lot of PS ressies (even if you dont' keep them all) and plan your days to get to the parks early and enjoy:p.

We were there this year, February 13-20 and it wasn't that bad. We had just been tehre over NYE though, so the intense crowds that week might have skewed our judgement. Sunday and Monday we thought were pretty crowded, but Thursday afternoon, Friday, and Saturday weren't too bad. On Tuesday, the parks really emptied out and lines weren't bad at all, maybe 20 minute waits. We didn't have a problem with meals since we had all our PSs in advance, so I would suggest doing that. Just get up early and do what you can before the big crowds come in and you'll be fine.

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like you all went the week beginning with the holiday...

We will actually be going the week before and ending our visit the day before President's Day.

We would even think about leaving before the weekend, but my DS's birthday is that Sunday ;)
