Hi! I’m curious if anyone has thoughts on how you think crowds will be this week with the removal of park reservations. We are going 17-24 so both Presidents’ Day week + princess marathon. I know it’ll be a busy busy week as we’ve been as a group of 5 during this time before. We will be a group of 8, 7 adults plus a 2 1/2 year old. We are planning on getting genie + plus ILLs.
Below is what we have booked, but would love everyone’s thoughts:
- Saturday, 17 arrival day - check in at riveria, relax, no park day, dinner at Disney springs
- Sunday, 18 - animal kingdom day. Should we rope drop or because hopefully good weather, just have leisurely morning? Only thing booked is Sanaa at 6p
- Monday, 19 - Hollywood studios, RD? It’ll be a long day as we have sci fi fantasmic dining at 4:15p and planning on staying for the first fantasmic show
- Tuesday 20, no park day
- Wednesday, 21 Epcot day, akershus at 11:10a, possible dinner at via Napoli at 7p
- Thursday, 22 magic kingdom day, dinner at HDD at 4p, go back to magic kingdom or Epcot?
- Friday, 23 topolinos at 9:55a, magic kingdom / Epcot day
- Saturday, 24 departure day

Thanks in advance!

Looks like a lot of fun with some great plans! I really don't know that the removal of park reservations is going to have anything to do with crowds that week, and it was going to be busy anyway (as you're aware)! G+/ILL will help with the attractions! Enjoy!

Sometimes President's Day week and Mardi Gras coincide making it an extra hectic time at the parks. Fortunately this year they are separate. But I agree with above, the lack of theme park reservations will have pretty much no impact; expect a busy week.

Park reservations no longer there for date-based tickets won't have an impact on President's Day, it's always been a slammed holiday time period for Disney and is often talked about year after year on the DIS so expect a very busy week.

With that many people I'd figure out what rides you for sure want and figure out who wants what so you can be ready if you get Genie+ and ILL.

It's Massachusetts school vacation week (and other parts of the northeast). It'll be busy.
