Jeff in BigD-------actually, you are correct. MOST of NC is quite conservative. I, however, live in a small "progressive" college town in the Appalachian Mountains (approx. 2 hours away from Asheville, if this means anything). This area isn't exactly conservative!

Yes unfortunately, the majority of the faculty live in La La Land as well and help influence "college town" ideals IMO.
