Presenting - Pumpkin Planning Project.........A PTR Production!!!

You will be pleased to know I just saw on another website a photo of the baked potato menu - now up at Harbor Galley.

Yep I'm still here :goodvibes

Your plans are sounding awesome! I'm a bit jealous that you get to go to MNSSP twice :thumbsup2

Oh goody, so glad you are here.........I really was starting to think I was just reading this all by myself!!! Thanks for sticking with me!:flower3:

I still can't believe we are going twice! We were originally going to do the Fantasmic show package again but we can do that any time but the Halloween party is a once in the year thing so it was an easy decision in the end! AND it was cheaper than the Fantasmic deal AND I get an annual pass discount!!!

I am about to send the email for our reservations so I will be keen to see how it goes as I usually ring but the email is good as I will have a printable confirmation!

Hear ye, hear ye........................Aust is now the official god in our house for bringing such marvellous news.:worship: There was much rejoicing ( in fact I think I am deaf in one ear :lmao: ) and shouting in sheer delight!!!!

Thanks so much for dropping in to share the news!!!:thumbsup2

So important question for you...different costumes for the party nights??? Lol I'm a costume tragic so very intrigued with what your planning to do for your first party night because you've mentioned your Halloween outfits already goodvibes:

Nice to see your in the fifties too! We're at 52 sleeps, cannot wait to be under 50!

OOOhhhhhh 52 sleeps for you girls............you must be excited:yay: I agree it will be nice to go under the 50 mark........even better when we get to do that single digit dance!!!:cool1:

As for the costumes.......................it is THE topic of discussion around here at the moment. The situation at the moment is the first party we are going to wear matching shirts ( yes I have talked her into just one! Still have to decide on the design though!!! ) and Halloween night DD is now going as Snow White. I am still sitting on the fence as I really don't know what to do. Being a Pooh sized lady, I am not too keen on wearing a dress type costume around the park. I would be happy to dress up in something, but am just not too sure what. I was going to go as the evil queen, but I just don't think it would suit me. I will more than likely just go in some sort of specially made shirt. I just want to be comfortble and as long as DD looks the part, I will be happy!

I just have to come up with an idea fo a shirt.................something to do with Snow White...............I will put my thinking cap on!!!

Suggestions welcome!!!:thumbsup2

Your ADRs look good! You have alot of Breakfasts planned :thumbsup2 I will be interested to see how you like the WOC picnic. I thought that looked like a good choice.

Hard to think of a shirt for snow white - if you are not the queen? Maybe the Queen when she is the little old apple peddlar? Or just a T-shirt with all of the dwarves on it? Now days, they might need to change the name to Snow White and Seven Little People. :goodvibes

How exciting MinnieSue! Getting closer now :) Im already having costume delimahs and im not going for another 12 months :rotfl2: How cool is it that Laura will still be able to have her famous baked potato! These are definately on our must do list for our trip after the rave reviews I have been seeing on here! Makes me hungry just thinking about it :goodvibes So very much looking foward to all of your fabulous photos! Your Trip Report will be a huge source of information for our trip planning, and i'll most definately be following along! Hope everyone's well! NOT LONG TO GO NOW!!!

Oooh I do love a good costume party! I'd definitely be taking the opportunity to wear two :thumbsup2 I'm already considering my options for my 2014 trip, and that will definitely involve 2 costumes - one for running and one for MNSSP :lmao:

I thought DD was going as Pocahontas? Snow White will be good too though. Not sure I'm much use for suggestions for you though :confused3 Um... apart from the evil queen, there's dwarves, Prince Charming (:lmao:), apples, diamonds, forest animals, the hunter... See, not much use :rotfl:

Glad you stopped by!!!:wave2:

Yep, what can I say, we love our characters and we love brekfasts so we get the best of both worlds!!! The WOC picnics didn't have a real big choice for us, but we think the American one looks ok! I will be sure to post pics and give it a write up!!!

Still got my thinking cap on re the Halloween parties. :scratchinWill keep you posted!!!

Yes we are getting soooooooo close...........I can taste those baked potatoes now!!!! We are lucky ( well I am lucky because I won't have to listen to the sad tones of the DD if she could not have her spuds!!! ) that the baked potatoes are going to be available!!!

And I can't wait to take all the pictures so you can enjoy them all when we get back!!!!

Hope you are well too:flower3:

I tell you one thing, this costume thing is driving me batty!!!!!:crazy2:

DD has changed her mind and wants to go as Snow White so that's easy enough but when it comes to me that is another story! I really would like to dress up at least at one of the parties, but being a bigger person, I just wouldn't feel comfortable in a big floaty costume! That's why I am leaning towards just a specially made shirt!
I also don't want to have to spend oodles of money on something I will wear just once when I could spend the money on other things ( like new Jim Shore figurines to add to the collection that I can look at every day!!! )

Maybe a shirt with Snow White's manager or something along those lines with a bit of humour invloved!!!:)

I am sure I will have a light bulb moment any time now..........:thumbsup2

Have you looked on ebay? I know ther are a few places I have been looking at and they ship free in the states, so have it sent to your hotel! Just a idea

Ebay do have loads of stuff don't they!!!??? I am still not convinced I will be comfortable dressing up and let's face it, if I'm not comfortable, I just won't enjoy myself!
And I'm not sure if it's just me, but being a plus sized lady is just adding to the decision.

If only I could find something to wear that was pants and a top....................then I might consider it!!!!!!:scratchin

Thanks for the input!!!:thumbsup2

So, I emailed my list of ADR's and could only confirm the first 2 on the list! Turns out it does have to be no more than 60 days in advance. No problem, gives me something to look forward to every couple of days!!!:thumbsup2

I will be ringing Disneyland in the morning to book our Ultimate Experience which is the Happiest Haunts Tour AND Mickey's Halloween party. This way we will get seats for the parade and the fireworks, a tasty treat plus a pin too! So, we will be altering the itinerary just a tad and doing this on Friday the 26th October. Hoping we can get tickets for that date.:thumbsup2

Haven't got our ESTA's yet, so will be doing them soon.

Selling some more stuff on ebay so fingers crossed for another couple of hundred dollars to go in the kitty!!!!

PLUS....................I decided that I won't be doing a costume. So, needed something that would keep me happy and this is what I have come up with...............

As the DD is dressing up as Snow White, I am going to have a shirt with the following........

On the front - "White Security. Snow job too big or too small!!!" It will have a picture of Grumpy underneath.

On the back - a big red apple with a bite taken!

I wanted something to reflect my personality so it had to be humourous!::yes:: Let me know what you think!!!:goodvibes

Well, here we are..........................in the forties, yep, the forties:cool1:

It is getting so close now and we are getting more and more excited every day!

So, I rang Disneyland this morning to book our Ultimate Experience for the 26th of October. This package includes the Happiest Haunts tour and Mickey's Halloween party. I was none too impressed when the cast member informed me I would have to ring back on the 26th September as I can't book it more thn 30 days in advance:confused3
I have seen others on the Halloween thread that have booked theirs already and for later too. I might give it another try in the morning and see if I can jag a different cast member who may be a little more accommodating to someone so far away:)

I have also emailed the Howard Johnson today to ask them to keep an eye out for my gift cards that I have ordered from the Disney store. I am not sure why, but they send the gift cards seperately to the parcels. They also do not have a tracking number so I have no idea if they have arrived or not as I have no way of checking. At leastt with the parcels, I can keep an eye on them and also have a confirmation when they are delivered and they have to be signed for.

As I have ordered 9, I am hoping they all turn up safely!

On another note, we may be heading in to LA for a day to tour the Warner Bros Studios and also to check out Madame Tussuads. I have made friends with a lovely lady who lives in Anaheim who has offered to be our driver for a day and take us out to Burbank for the studio tour and then bring us back into LA so we can visit the wax museum and we can check out the Disney Soda fountain store too! We did go to the Soda Fountain last trip, but we were so rushed and didn't really have time to enjoy it!

I am still considering this though as it means a day away from the parks:lmao:

DD went for her very first job interview today at KFC! She will find out at the end of the week if she has been successful. God love her, she wanted to make some of her own money to spend on the trip so she didn't have to have me spend too much on her. She really is the most thoughtful girl........ Oh and she also wanted to "be independant":rotfl:

I can't wait to get my new Dooney...........this is it here!!! I got a good deal as I got it in the 25% off sale! That is even better than the 20% off with the annual pass discount that I can get in the parks!

More soon and as always, thanks for comimg along:goodvibes

And did I mention......................

49 sleeps to go!!!
