Present ideas for our trip?....

I think this is a good question for the Budget Board, but if not, then feel free to move it mods

We are going to orlando right after Christmas (dec. 29-jan 7) and we will be going to disney, universal, islands of adventure and seaworld. We have 3 kids ages 19 (twins) and 12. They know about the trip, so it's not a surprise. I'm looking for some ideas on some cheap things to put under the tree for the trip. We aren't doing a huge Christmas this year because of the trip but I still want stuff for them to open on Christmas morning. Also, any good ideas on things we can get them for when we're there...we wanted to get tickets to Cirque du soleil but they are way too expensive for a family of 5!

We are doing something similar. I wrapped up some experiences I had booked for the trip that my dd didn't know about yet for under the tree (Swim with Belugas, Dine with Shamu etc). I also wrapped up a gift card for her spending money.

We really wanted to do La Nouba too, but it's is expensive! I just realized that there is a Cirque 3D movie coming out on Christmas! I am going to get tickets to that (far cheaper than LN!) and give those as a gift as well. We will see it at Univeral so we can combine it with a fun evening of looking around City Walk and dinner there.

It is likely to be cold in Orlando at that time of year, so Disney themed mittens, sweatshirts, socks, hats, etc. might be welcome. I found a Disney sweatshirt in my Christmas clothing tub that I bought after Christmas last year and had forgotten about. Looking forward to wearing it this year.

Disney Christmas stockings or special ornaments might also be fun if they don't already have them. Your youngest might enjoy decorating his or her room with Mickey head Christmas lights. We just decorated DS13's with a Pooh tree and lights.
